Freedom is not defined by being able to kill one another as easily as possible, thats just plain barbarism and is recognised as such in the rest of the civilised world
If such firearms were indeed designed for such purposes, and could not possibly serve in any other role, they would not be standard issue for law enforcement.
And yet under certain circumstances, such is exactly what freedom is defined as. According to whom, precisely?
Then why don't you get your mind off our guns and work on lowering the suicide rate in your part of the world, where it is way higher than in the U.S.? Death is death, or are you only concerned about death by guns in the U.S., while your own people are killing themselves in a wholesale manner.
True. The problem is you don't seem to accept any other reason for gun ownership. So I figured I would just go along with you.
Nobody complains about increases in rope violence when hanging oneself is on the rise. Suicide isn't a gun issue, its a mental health issue that gun grabbers have jumped on for their own nefarious purposes...
So few people are killed annually with guns labeled ‘assault weapons’ that it is barely measurable. If the MSN, your primary source of information, didn’t hype and over obsess to the point that the perception of the risk vastly outweighs the reality of the numbers. As for freedom, it’s obvious you don’t have a clue what individual liberty or protected individual civil rights are about. You’ve been indoctrinated by your superiors well.
Interesting to note that children are in more danger traveling to and from school then they are while in the school. Many don't seem to know or realize this because as you indicate it is media hype that "assault weapons" are killing our kids.
