Travon Martin was walking home in the rain talking on his cell phone. Are you stupid?

Cite the Florida stalking and assault laws you claimed Zimmerman violated and how he violated them. Are you?

In most states, you can buy guns from private sellers with no paperwork or background check. This is totally legal and is not the black market. That said, it is illegal to sell guns across state lines as a private seller--you can only sell to people that live within your state. I can legally sell a gun to my neighbor, if I think he is allowed to own a gun. To answer your question, you have to find a private seller in order to buy a gun without paperwork. You cannot buy a gun from a gun store (or a licensed gun dealer at a gun show) without a background check and paperwork.

Depends on the gun show. I haven't been to one in about 25 years or so, but in the old days, there were private sellers at most gun shows. I've bought several guns that way--cash with no paperwork. It's totally legal. That said, if I were a criminal, the last place I would buy a gun would be a gun show. There are too many witnesses and there are usually cops at the door as security.

Well, back in the late 1980s/early 1990s, probably 25%. haven't been to one since about that time.

So you are suggesting he does not go outside to investigate what people are doing on his property? Yes, this is tragic, but the message should not be "Stay inside and take the loss" it should be "There is nothing you can steal that is worth your life"

As I said Ms. legal expert, you can't support your legal claims while claiming your legal expertise over others.

I've been to some fairly recent, and I would say it is less than 1% that are sold by private sellers at gun shows today. Most "independent" sellers are just 1 or 2 guys that want to make a little money from selling their gun....and they do not have booths. The fact of having a booth would cause the requirement to be licenced per ATF regulations:

Those that say that there is a "gun show loophole" and that it is a problem are lying and spreading mis-information.

    White Republicans.

The ones who commit the majority of murders in the US.
The ones you see dragging people out of their cars and beating them.
The ones you see the Los Angeles Police running away from.
The ones you see shooting at those Koreans.

Obviously. Who did you think I meant?

Did these persons care whether they'd end a life?Seems to me the one who was killed was advancing on the shooter with a knife.Comes a time when one needs to make a life or death decision. Those teens made his decision for him.

"Drop dead". Good Lord! The suppressed violent rage of a lot of these people is always surprising. ~They're supposed to be the Nice Side and we're supposed to be the ones with, to quote a liberal poster earlier today, "nothing but hate in our hearts".

Now I can see why they don't want anyone to own a gun ... they think everyone else is like them. But just because it might be a good idea for an alcoholic not to touch even one drop, is no reason to prohibit the rest of us, who can hold our liquor, from having a drink.

But there is a lesson here for forum posters: never make a factual claim without checking it first, or you will eventually end up being humiliated.

Margot I asked you about your claim and you asked if I am stupid implying that I am because I questioned your legal opinion on the matter and challenged you to back it up, quote the specific Florida stalking and assault law you are claiming he violated and how. So put up or shut up or stop calling me stupid and questioning others knowledge of the law as if you are some higher authority.

And you are still here trying to claim your "legal expertise" over others with your insults as you did then. Why not just admit Zimmerman did not violate Florida stalking and assault law, that you did not interpret the law correctly and then stop claiming others are stupid or lacking in their knowledge of the law when they challenge your baseless assertions.

I don't remember the Trayvon Martin case very well.

As I recall, he was walking to his uncle's house at night, and George Zimmerman came up behind him and challenged him ... apparently there had been some burglaries in the area... and asked him what he was doing. And Martin just politely replied that he was visiting his uncle, who lived there. And then Zimmerman just shot him dead in cold blood.

    Do I have that right?

Its always been that way.. At least in my lifetime. If you and a buddy are robbing a bank and your buddy gets killed, you are guilty of murder.

Wrong, if the 14 year old moron didn't try to rob other people of their property the 14 year old wouldn't be dead. Perhaps in Australia you folks card every intruder, must make for some friendly crimes...

What about negligent homicide or reckless homicide? Neither of those requires intent. Even 2nd degree homicide doesn't require an initial intent to kill.
