For the sake of argument, I’ll grant you your charges—Still doesn’t give China the right to violate the principle of Freedom of Thought.

Tell me: Hans and Sophie Scholl? Rabble rousers or desperate idealists?

Waco was an infernal caused by a wacko—whoever heard of Jesus wearing glasses? More to the point, when did the fight for liberty start requiring one hide behind women’s skirts and children’s tears?

As to Ruby Ridge? Really? Liberty requires you to hide behind your family and then cry foul when a member is killed. Not in my Book of Virtue.

PBS did a documentary a few years back on Ruby Ridge.
They interviewed some of the law enforcement persons and surviving family.
As I remember it all the law enforcement personnel regretted their behavior at Ruby Ridge.
You might just check it out.

Waco was an inferno caused by the Federals.

You really need to study up.
Otherwise, between us - you can have the
    Last Word on this discussion.

Point: Our Federals are hardly more benign than China.
Hong Kong is a region of China stuck in a chronic riot no other nation would tolerate.
Spain did not tolerate such behavior in Catalonia and no one cared.
China violating an agreement any different than our Federals doing same,
    reference above.

On a rock in the middle of nowhere, on an island made of useless rocks, there came to be the richest, freest City/State the world had ever seen, Hong Kong. The greatest attribute? They knew how to live free and create wealth. It’s greatest sin? It show to whole world the virtue of capitalism and the evil of socialism.

Today they bravely fight to keep their liberty and prosperity.

    Excerpts:

“...with an average per capita income nearly six times that of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) and an average life expectancy six years higher, Hong Kong stands as a vivid rebuke to the communist system of its giant neighbor.”

“Like a laboratory experiment, the Hong Kong/China divide proved that the same people, with similar cultural and historical circumstances and the same geography, would experience radically different outcomes based on the presence or absence of liberty. In half a century (during which the PRC murdered 7.7 million people as part of its “Cultural Revolution”) Hong Kong went from a barely noticeable industrial district to the city with more skyscrapers than any other.”

“In 2014, when protests erupted over the PRC’s decision to limit who can run for office in Hong Kong, the communists imprisoned pro-democracy activists, and the protests collapsed. Two years later, the PRC blocked six political candidates from Hong Kong’s Legislative Council because they refused to swear allegiance to the communist state. Then, in February 2019, a bill was proposed that would allow authorities to extradite Hong Kong citizens and try them in the PRC’s politically controlled courts.”

“. “We cannot give up,” one protestor told The Atlantic recently. “If we do, there will be no future for us anyway. We might as well go down fighting.”

This will piss off China, the CPC, Jinping, Putin, Maduro, Kim, the Socialists, the Progressives, and the college snowflakes—Imagine, idealistic youth of a foreign nation, in defiance’s of collectivist tyranny, sing proudly and and gratefully, the American National Anthem; but in America, the college Left loves denigrating, mocking, and pissing on the American flag. Go fkn figure.

Hong Kong protesters sing American national anthem and chant ‘USA, USA’

If the incredible happens, and Hong Kong successfully defends it right to live by its own self-government in the name of Liberty, I suspect Venezuela and North Korea will face massive uprisings...maybe even Russia.

Wonder who’s wetting their pants today, the Hong Kong idealists or the vile dicatators, Xi Jinping, Putin, Kim, and Maduro.

This should be of interest. Pompeo said:

"We’ll work with legitimate governments in Latin America to prevent protests from morphing into riots and violence that don’t reflect the democratic will of the people."

Does this mean that Washington doesn't see the government in Hong Kong as being legitimate and that's why we accept the violence - or does it mean that our only concerns are the governments in Latin America? Also how could we define the will of the people, when we are not willing to accept anyone other than the candidate of our choice?

As for China's response to the bill Congress' passed, they will not allow the American ships to enter Hong Kong ports, and they're finally kicking out the NGO's. Frankly, I can't understand why they didn't do that 2 or 3 years ago when the protests first started.

Not much of friend to liberty, are you? Is their any dictator you won’t carry water for?

Your defense of authoritarians, dictators, and tyrants, is immoral. Doesn’t it bother you that you never defend the good, the right, the moral, the inviolable sovereignty of the individual? Doesn’t the Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights, mean anything to you? Doesn't your subservience to dogmatists bother you? Is there no White Rose in your soul? Apparently the answer to each is, no.

lol don't get too dreamy here, HK is special case, they don't consider themselves Chinese, hence the anti-china attitude, look at Macao did they do the same? nope! Kim of NK aka best Trump buddy got hold of solid power, nothing Nkorean can do about it. Venezuela, well, just look at Syria, and you know what happen. Anarchy is much worst.

Anarchy is worse? Nah, just another form of tyranny. But the choice isn’t between anarchy or tyranny, the choice is between liberty and every form of tyranny.

And yes, I yearn for too much, but the alternative is worse—surrendering to cynicism.

They answer is to fight for liberty, reason, individual rights, not to surrender to authoritarians who impose their tyrannical rule--for whether or not they bring peace to the streets, war is never far behind. Another good option, get the hell out.

Besides, the only anarchy in Hong Kong is the evil that Xi Jinping and the CPC want to inflict upon the Hong Kong individuals, slavery.

Won’t last much longer, if the tyrant Xi Jinping and his commie goons get their way.

Which is why they fight—to keep liberty and prosperity flourishing for forever and a day.

I know what anarchy is. I have studied the concept of anarchy in several University courses, dozens of books, journal papers, and your pal Google; you can keep modifying the meaning of anarchy but true anarchy is impossible.

Do you really think that Washington wants what is the best for Hong Kong, and not what is best for itself - which is basically to spread the riots to the mainland and destroy China's economic competition?

What China should have done during the last protests, was send the American NGO's packing. This is what other nations do when they realize they're being used to overthrow independent governments and turn them into chaotic messes. Two nations that didn't realize it soon enough are Ukraine and Syria and we see the end results.

Anyway as long as people know they are fighting American dominance, the freedoms that you envision will never come about. Right now, and because of the riots in Hong Kong, Washington is very hated in China - which it wasn't before. There is only one way the Chinese people can acquire more freedom, and that is if they feel their sovereignty is not under pressure.

But that's beyond Washington - or is it? Maybe Washington just wants chaos to retain their hegemony?

Here's something of interest. It seems the freedom loving protesters in Hong Kong are being visited by Ukrainian Nazi goons. Wonder who's paying their fare and hotel bills, after all the average wage in Ukraine is $250 a month? Does seem suspicious doesn't it?

Maybe it's the same one's that were paying the protesters in Ukraine to destroy the country, and turn it into a Nazi and mafia haven.
