No right follows you to prison. They are rights and no prisoner should have them. That’s definitely a far stretch. So you think felons should have guns while incarcerated. That’s amazingly moronic and you think my thought process was lazy? Yours is beyond lazy, it’s down right insane.

So you agree with the way the majority of the states handle it or do you think they should get them back before probation is complete?

How does the Parliamentarian of the House allow them to do this? Why does the Parliamentarian of the Senate accept as a voted on House bill?

Certainly their legal counsels are telling them this will never pass constitutional muster so they are just grandstanding looking for some issue ANY issue to avoid the economy and inflation and COVID and unemployment and foreign policy.

Why can't the Dems have simple votes on simple focused bills the we can all read and understand.

If that is what YOU want in YOUR state then pass it in YOUR state. It is NOT for the Congress to try and dictate that to the states, it has no constitutional authority to do so.

But this is about HOW the Dems are TRYING to do this, should we stand for it?

Last I knew Trump was not in office. Additionally he has never been a part of Congress at any point in time, much less this Congress. Not to mention Trump was not mentioned ONCE in this thread until you brought him up. So essentially all that you're doing is deflecting from the topic. You know you can't defend it.

Contradictory. How can Trump have gotten mega tax cuts for the corps when at the same time its congress that decides, not the President? TDS mixed with hypocrisy is what comes to mind.

"The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

Ever seen that in the Constitution? I would hope so. What it means is that if its not in the Constitution then the federal government does not have the legal power to address it. That is @Joe knows argument.

Yes, a person with no felony conviction can legally buy a gun even when living with a felon. However the felon has a good chance of being arrested for possession of a gun.

1: There is no party called "Trumpism". That is just a "slur" (to apply the phrase the way leftists have applied it to "lets go brandon"...whats good for the goose...).
2: Trump is not a party.

    That is actually false.

Eighth Amendment: Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.

That said, I have no problem with people in prison voting. It does not harm anyone.

Also I believe that once you have done your time you should get your full Rights back. But I would also change the system away from what we have now. One that is meant to reform, not just punish. And no one would be released until they can prove that they are reformed to the proper type of panel.

Republicans are filibustering if the Democrats try to bring in bills in a different way. So if one party uses the rules to obstruct legislation, what’s wrong with the other party using the rules to advance legislation?

If you cannot differentiate between a gun and voting then you are definitely a Republican. As to the rest of your post — you ignored the entirety of my premise. Which is understandable seeing your positions.

It should be national seeing the methods “conservatives” have taken historically and are trying to take now.

There is precedent for the federal government to step in when voters are disenfranchised.

It is sad that the only way your party can win is to arbitrarily limit voting and even worse that you are defending it.

I want all eligible Americans to be able to easily, conveniently, and securely vote. Shame that political ideology has poisoned so many.

the op attacked this admin and all democrats in the ops post, so comparing this admin to the last is valid, as the Trump admin was the most corrupt admin ever

you must have missed this quote in the ops post "This only goes to prove that the 2021 Democratic Party is perhaps the single most corrupt political entity to ever exist in the USA"

Can you show it was directed at anyone? Nope. Of course you can't. You take from it whatever you want though. It is after all your Right and prerogative to have your own opinions.

Wah. He dared attack the Democratic Party. Tell me, does his attacking the Democratic Party in the way you're whining about change the point that was actually made in the OP? Try reading the OP again only this time instead of reacting emotionally try and focus on what the actual point was. You know...the point that you're deflecting away from.
