House Intelligence memo released: What it says

By independently corroborating the information from the dossier or by submitting the portions of the dossier while admitting that you are unable to verify the accuracy therein and convincing the judge that risk of a foreign agent acting within a Presidential campaign outweighs the potential risk that the evidence being presented is false.

 

Bottom line...

all it takes to be granted FISA court approval to spy on US citizens is ex parte (one sided) unsubstantiated rumor...

and Democrats are climbing WAY out on a limb to defend and justify this....after screaming bloody murder about the Patriot Act and warrantless wiretaps

 

None of which is relevant, as the issue revolves around the willful use of tainted information in obtaining a warrant.

Instead they helped by drawing attention to it. If they would have just shrugged their shoulders and then released a counter response including what ever was left out both sides would have said a few words and then it would have been forgotten. Instead since the DEM fought so hard against its release everyone will take it seriously and pay attention much longer. Also it is not the job of those dems to "protect" the investigation. It is the councils job to find out if anything is wrong and present any evidence. Let people say what they want the evidence will show us the truth if Mueller is nonpartisan and does his job as a neutral party.

 

The Democrats wanted to do that. The Republicans refused to let their memo speak.

 

Willful use of tainted information is done all the times, properly, in the application for warrants. You just have to corroborate the evidence or admit that the evidence you are using is tainted and convince the judge that the need for the warrant is worth the risk.

Ok, give us an example of a case where a warrant would be applied for without a piece of evidence that the warrant would not have been applied for without.
