He has stacked his administration with globalist bank swindlers and oil barons...In case you haven't noticed, he has already sold us out and I predict that he will soon start another war or two like Cheney/Bush did...You've been duped by all of his populist, man of the people rhetoric spewed by his campaign team...

More union label garbage from a prolific shill who proves with every thread that LW aren't interested in actual political discussions, just spamming their lie narrative advertisements repetitively "Trump narcissist! Trump narcissist!" Once again, it's why they lose and lose, will continue losing.

To the actual topic? Oh yeah, like 90% of this OP's threads there is no topic, or at least none I could decode from the slanted, flamebait, pseudointellectual drivel and cherry-picked fake news polls.

Didn't you people learn your lesson about polls?

A cult can try to make a Messiah appear widely loved, but that ploy obviously fails.

I don't think evoking presidents of yore is a viable diversion, particularly one that finished two terms with 66% approval. Trump's numbers stink, and if he had succeeded in passing any of the unpopular major legislation he had vowed to sign into law, they might even stink worse.

Adopting the opposition's policies is a losing strategy. The way Trump won was by leveraging the rules of the electoral college and the disproportionate power it gives to states. He appealed to a specific demographic in specific states- his base- and he will live or die by pleasing that base. If tomorrow he adopted policies that technically poll as 60% popular, only a small segment of that 60% will support him for it. The people who oppose him do so for reasons that go beyond policy. Furthermore- his own base will feel betrayed and become quickly disillusioned with him. Appalachian workers didn't vote for Trump because he would protect the environment.

People make a big ado about how "Trump supporters will always support him", but that simply isn't true. Like any popular figure, there are those that will make excuses for him to ridiculous extents- but it's not an infinite well. If Trump abandoned "The Wall", for example, it's highly likely most of his base would quickly turn on him. The same is not true for promises like making the Mexicans pay for it.

This is my point. The media is so powerful, they can make a rapist, junk flasher, who had affairs in the white house, on public time, with a public intern, a hero and champion of/for women.

The fact you believe the polls speaks volumes. The polls are created to advance a narrative the Gazis want to push.

I think your theory will be tested.....I am not so sure that you are correct but yes, on the "immigration" issue, I think that one is pivotal to his core support.

If someone deeply hates Trump's behavior and temperament then it won't matter if Trump says he's going to support X or Y policy.

If Democrats run someone deeply unpopular outside of NY and California in 2020, like, say, Chelsea Clinton or Mark Zuckerberg, then Trump will most likely have a good chance at being re-elected.

Putin is the poster boy for buyer's remorse. Yes, Trump has wreaked havoc the US, but Putin must be asking himself at what cost.

It stands to reason that the poster means that if all eligible voters had come out to vote, Trump would have been toast.

The paranoia concerning public surveys (whose financial success depends upon accuracy) and the media (who are corporatists selling news in pursuit of profit, not pushing partisan agendas) is a feeble defense for unpopular ideas.

If you believe that the rightist entertainment empire manipulates you, you are certainly entitled to speak for yourself, but getting pissy about pollsters and news that do not comport with your ideological agenda does not alter the reality.

Again, how do you figure that? Are you a mind reader? Do you assume that people are going to vote a certain way just because of the party affiliation on their voter registration?

Don't forget, you all are the same people that said there was no way President Trump could win.

The idea that viewership and ad revenue is the only source of profit sought after by media institutions is asinine. There's hundreds of think tanks in Washington funded by elites which are dedicated to manipulating the political landscape, and you think that surveying organizations and the media are immune to partisan influence? Don't be ridiculous.

Maybe you have heard of this thing called statistics...

Why did Trump win? Because Democrats stayed home

This ignores the fact that these polls have all been taken after Trump has been elected, and after he's been put into office. Actually having to govern and Clinton no longer being the alternative radically changes things.

They stayed home for a reason- most likely because they were undecided.

Most stayed home because they took for granted that Hillary would win, but if they had known, they would have done what I and many others did...the would have realized the urgency and voted for her despite the fact that she was not their favorite choice.

And in spite of all ^^^^^ this, a new ABC/WaPo poll released today, shows if the election was held today among voters who voted 46-43% in favor of Hillary, they would vote 43-40% for Trump.

I think you're trying to downplay the deeply unpopular nature of Clinton among large swaths of the public.
Trump never could have won if the Democratic party hadn't run such a sub-par candidate.

The cult of trumpery just can't accept that most Americans think their messiah stinks. If they're in denial of polls that do not reflect their blind devotion, the'll just have to pretend that everyone agrees with them that he is amazing and is doing everything he promised as immediately as he assured them he would.

The votes cast AGAINST Trump Exceeded 50% - THAT is the definition of majority.
In case you haven't heard, he LOST the popular vote BY A LOT.
Yes, he squeaked a couple states and won the electoral college.
Sports analogy - He has the title, but fans know the officials made a bad call.

I agree, the whining of those suffering from Trump Disciple Syndrome is truly hysterical, especially when confronted with simple facts like how unpopular Trump's supposed policies actually are with the american people.

And yet he polls more strongly today against the Drunken Kleptocrat than he did on election day. And, he is much more sane than some other world leaders:

DUTERTE SAYS HE CAN BE 50 TIMES MORE BRUTAL THAN TERRORISTS...

'Just give me vinegar and salt, I'll eat his liver'...
