If health insurance premiums are going through the roof it's because Obamacare set that in motion. Yesterday you called yourself a conservative and I don't think you fully understand what you're claiming to be.

Okay. Plan B. What were all those fixes to the ACA the Democrats wanted that we obstructed?

 

Even conservatives can admit that health insurance costs have been one of the top two worries for Americans for the last 60 years ... long before ObamaCare.
By the way - health insurance costs rose faster between 1987 and 1990, and between 2001 and 2004, than they have over the last ten years.
It's not just a partisan problem.

Health care costs were outpacing inflation and GDP for DECADES. The Democrats telegraphed exactly what they would do if given the chance ("socialized medicine").

Meanwhile, the Republicans did NOTHING.

So the American people were offered two choices.

Plan A: ObamaCare (another step closer to single payer)

Plan B: Nothing (Republican plan)


When faced with skyrocketing costs for decades on end, with more and more Americans being priced out of health insurance, sooner or later peoplel will get fed up with NOTHING and will vote for socialized medicine.

Trump lied, bigly, about having a replacement for ObamaCare. And the rubes have STILL not realized they were massively hoaxed by the snake oil salesman.

I will wait here for the usual tu quoques. "B-b-b-b-but Clinton!" and "B-b-b-b-but Obama!"

The rubes NEVER hold the huckster accountable. They DESERVE to be lied to.

 

A while back, I predicted that our health care system would take a l-o-n-g time to straighten out and there was a high probability that it would never be totally fixed after Obamacare destroyed it. Now we are one year into Trump's administration with insane Democrats and stunned Republicans fighting him every step of the way. Still, we have Liberals pointing out that Trump hasn't fixed everything yet. Reality is not the strong point of Liberals.

 

The Naked Emperor has always been a proponent of universal health care.

All I can tell you about is my own personal experiences. Not too long ago I was paying $86 per month for medical insurance and one day I found myself in need of emergency open heart surgery. That surgery cost me $100. That's it. Total amount paid. Nothing more to add.

Now I pay over $800 a month and a year or two ago I had to get a stress test which had always been free but now costs $800. After the test they wanted to do an angiogram and they wanted $8000.00 cash up front. My insurance didn't cover either expense.

Blood tests which were once free now cost $100 and my medications went insane - what was once a drug that cost me $20 for a three month supply now costs $400 for a one month supply. And a drug my son takes once cost $23 for a three month supply now costs $912 for a one month supply.

When I called my insurance company to ask about the huge price increases I was told, and let me quote this for you as best as I can remember, they were due to 'recent changes in the health care laws' That was in 2015.

I seriously doubt the hideously large cost increases I've experienced were due to normal inflation. Even the insurance company blamed it on the health care laws, and don't forget people like Gruber said the left depended on their voters to be complete morons in order to sell what was the largest vote buying scheme ever.

ObamaCare was a bait-and-switch con. A labor union boondoggle.

Trump is running up massive deficits. He is a a serial adulterer who brags about sexually abusing women and trying to bed married women. He made his living off gambling and contests of the flesh and exploiting human weakness for profit. His game show encouraged the worst human behaviors. He stole the nest eggs of senior citizens at his fake university. He is a close personal friend of the Clintons. In his books, he advocates for gun control, universal health care coverage, and affirmative action. He said his New York values made him "very pro-choice".

He was a registered Democrat all during the Bush Administration and into the Obama Administration. During the Iraq War, he demanded we cut and run from Iraq and he demanded that Nancy Pelosi (who he said he admired) should impeach Bush.

Trump said Bill Clinton was a great President and that Hillary would make a great President. He also said AFTER BENGHAZI that Hillary was one of the best Secretaries of State we ever had.

Trump defended Bill Clinton against the women accusing Clinton of assault.

I'm a liberal. I think the Obama admin needs to be held accountable for many crimes against America. I love trump and hope he builds the wall because allowing people to come and go unchecked and unregulated is dangerous.

 

Did you honestly think your insurance company would blame cost increases on their record profits, the hospitals record profits and the drug companies record profits?

 

The problem is not insurance companies.

The problem is government.

 

Technically, Trump lied when he said he had a replacement for ObamaCare.

So I use "TrumpCare" for this rolling disaster of a train wreck for what Trump has created. It isn't an actual piece of legislation.

Trump repealed ObamaCare (see post 11), so he owns this mess we have now. For want of a better word: TrumpCare.
