    But do they call themselves abused minorities and demand social justice and handouts? NOPE!!! And I’ve never met anyone who calls themselves an Irish or Italian-American if they happen to be of Italian descent. They might say they’re Italian. They don’t list it on a job application or when applying to college. You don’t get brownie points because your grandparents are Italian or Iran or German or Jewish. But because your great great great great grandparents cake from Africa that makes you African American? Oh please. You’re as connected to Africa as I am connected to Poland, because my great grandparents came over in the 30s. A joke.

    It’s NOT the same at ALL.

    Does that mean if someone labels me a Mexican or a Black, that I can't have a whole vote?

    Let's keep in mind that many hyphenated people are hyphenated by those who don't want them to be part of us.

    Ask BLM and Antifa and those living n the hood. They’re big on hoods and covering up they’re identities. And if you’re implying a white hood, you’d have to ask the rest of my Jewish family how that works. The KKK sort of hates me and my people.

    And as I pointed out in the beginning, many are singled out and hyphenated by others. Some self-identify as a way to say there is nothing wrong with my heritage. That kind of self-identification in no way indicates a person is not patriotic or does not love the country.

    If we can't accept others who are "not like us" and we label them according to their heritage, then we are saying "you're not one of us." If we label them as Black or Hispanic or whatever "you're not one of us" kind of label we assign, we are separating them out of our group.

    The real problem here is the refusal of so many European-Americans to accept others. If we want to eliminate the concept of differences inherent in multi-cultural citizens, then we have to stop identifying others with out labels.

    If you live in America you should be thrilled to stand up proudly and say I am an American. If you feel you need to put another country ahead of that you are obviously not that proud to be an American so you shouldn't get to have a full American vote and may even wish to consider moving to Mexico or Africa or ........

    That would take the Irish to complain or the Irish-Americans to complain or Irish of American decent..... Hey the history of Notre Dame is Irish were excluded so they set up their own school. Irish in the 19th century wanted to become American but the White Protestants who ran this country excluded them.
