So it’s not a matter of paying taxes, because renters pay the property taxes of where they live. It’s mentality and focus on self? Should some sort of selflessness test be given? Maybe some homeowners would fail.

You see a past trend of issuing voting rights in American elections to foreign nations? Do tell.

No. Owning property, tends to see you remain in that property and remaining in a community for decades.

Renters have no physical tie to an area and can split whenever they'd like, resulting in less civic minded actions.

I should say, I was kind of being tongue in cheek with my initial reply.

he/they/she/them fails to recognize that taxes are rolled into the rent, ergo every tennant is paying for property tax... mindboggling though it may be

Libs want to expand healthcare and other benefits to non-citizens. Is it that much of a stretch to also give them voting rights?

Actually you're just paying the landlord who actually owns the domicile to temporarily live there.

An IQ test makes much more sense. But then almost everyone would be liberals.

Why? Because the higher the IQ, the more likely to be liberal.

Antioch, California, used to be a nice, quiet, peaceful place to live and rear a family. This was before the Epic Trash moved into the southeast side of the city. This Epic Trash initially came from places like nearby Oakland, Richmond, Hayward, Fremont, San Leandro and some of it "moved up" from Pittsburgh, California.

The home prices remained relatively higher in Brentwood, an adjacent city with historically equal amounts of peace and quiet may or may not have been infected by this Epic Trash Virus. I'm not sure, it has been many years since I lived in Brentwood. I hope that Brentwood, California and Mountian House, California have not succumb to this particular strain of Virus. This is what destroys perfectly fine Communities. I used to love living in the area when it was peaceful, quite, safe and reliably comfortable. Today, I would not send my archenemy to live in Antioch, California.

When the Epic Trash moves in, the epic lifestyle goes away and the epic hell on earth ensues. Truly, epic. Truly, sad.

Bull. I hold a PhD. I've never tested lower than 130 IQ. My parents maintained a Conservative Household throughout my most formative years. I've had three professional careers. I graduated at the top of my class three times in a row with honors and academic distinction (high school, college and UPT). I've been promoted faster than my peers in each profession to leadership roles. I've known both failure and success while understanding the need to work both hard and smart.

As a real Conservative and by most measures an "intellectually gifted person," I can promise you that any study which attempts to pigeonhole an individual's ultimate cognitive ability with either Ethnicity or Political Persuasion is both hogwash and hamstrung from the word go. I have witnessed people rise from the ashes of all manner of circumstance and condition to do some extraordinary things with their lives, while being both Liberal and Conservative. Typically, you will find the Ultra Liberal Snob as the most vociferous advocate of intellectual segregation by way of political inbreeding and/or political indoctrination.

When you have been where I have been, worked where I have worked, traveled where I have traveled and witnessed what I have witnessed from People all over the planet, you know full well that intellectual depth is a direct and systemic consequence of prolonged environmental inputs to the brain. Nothing more and nothing less than that is the truth about so-called IQ, or potential for IQ. Anyone promising you otherwise is selling you something at a price. The question is, are you a buyer of that nonsense.

Back to your regularly scheduled inaccuracies.

Given that you have a Ph.D., you should know that anecdotes mean nothing. And your need to justify yourself makes me not even believe you. If you are educated you should know better.

Yes. It’s a stretch. There’s a vast difference between making sure people aren’t dying of treatable diseases in the streets and inviting them to participate in an election.

Wrong. The renter’s money pays the taxes. Are your sales taxes paid only to the business? Do you not pay sales taxes?
This is really one of the dumbest arguments I’ve heard in support of voter suppression.

It is almost as easy to sell one's house, move, and buy a new house, as it is to move from one rental to another.

    No they don't.

They pay the fee the landlord sets for you to live there.

A renter doesn't pay property tax.

Yes, it is a dumb argument to suggest that the person who doesn't own the property is paying the property tax.

    Try again.
