So I have a new German shepherd puppy. I'm trying to teach him to be calm around people and general socialisation in this current climate the best I can.

I have found most men are respectful interact with the pup on terms I dictate but women (not all women) try to accost my puppy and do not respect his or my boundaries (I'm also concerned about these irrisponsible entering my space during this covid 19 pandemic).

Theyd not respect the fact that I'm training my pup and run over and acost him and caring that they are causing my puppy fear.

The just care about themselves and having their cute little puppy fix not the dogs walefare.

I've learned to be blunt and some would consider rude to these women. In an attempt to protect my puppy. This is working I'm teaching him to be calm in the presents of women. He sits nicely and I instruct women to not to touch him or make baby voices But one inevitably some do.

Like today he was sitting perfectly. I told the women passing not to bother him as I'm teaching him or to be afraid and to be calm around women. She responded "good boy, baby voices and her best to brake the dogs sit/calmness. She succeeded and my pup charged at her barking and what appeared to be fear agression.

Funny enough I spoke to my sister about the problem and she laughed. Apparently she sympathies and told be she has the same problem regarding her baby.

She is sick of women accosting her child. The reach into the pram and touch her baby without her pomision. Apparently a lot of women get upset when my sister telling these women off for assaulting her baby.

Why are women so disrespectful and not care about the harm the are doing as long as they get to grab a handful of something cute?

I've watched lots of dog training videos and alot of them mention how much of a problem women in public are.

So if I'm a single guy, and I get a cute puppy, and I walk it around the park, I will be swarmed by young beautiful women. How horrible! Even though this terrifies me, and I am so afraid of getting a dog now, which breeds get the most female attention?

I have your solution. Just walk your cat around your park, preferably a grossly obese one, just like Jon Arbunkle does.

So sound like you would be a terrible dog owner. Don't get a dog.

Firstly if your reasoning for getting a dog is for female attention. Getting a dog will not solve your problems. If women are not attracted to you , you need to look at yourself in the mirror. Usually women pick up on things like low self-esteem, confidence, mabye improve that about yourself . Also while you're at it. Make sure you have a job, are not dressing like a bum, have s passion and learn to love yourself.

Now second reason. For starters a dog is a lot of work!!! How can you focus on the dog and not being an insecure goof around women at the same time. It takes a lot of time and effort to improve yourself and you won't have time for the dog.

Also you must train your dog, your suggestions of letting random women coming up and petting your pup is BAD, your dog will be conditioned to arbe excited/ unpredictable around strangers .

This will make your dog unstable and act like an idiot. It could end up biting someone. Would you like your over excited untrained dog to biting a child? Nooo.

Your whole posts indicates to you the dog will be just a bit of bling you can show off and not interested in training. You will prob get rid of your unstrained and badly behaved dog when you realise it's not getting you women .

Dogs deserve good owners and not a shitty start in life. To many end up on the street , in shelters and killed. Just because *******s get them for all the wrong reasons .

The only dog you should be buying is a stuffed toy dog. Please work on yourself esteem / confidence instead of getting a dog.

Also instead of spending money on a dog (which is expensive to care for by the way), spend it on a gym membership, a life coach, improving your wardrobe or whatever. Heck even hiring prostitues to get a bit of experience under your belt, would be a wiser investment than getting a dog .

How old are you by the way? Mabye..not hire professionals if your under 18. But if you're still relatively young, you have all the time in the world to get better with women, so don't worry about it .

Just promise me you won't get a dog for the wrong reasons . Ok?

Sorry about the long post. I just like dogs and I care about them a lot.

I have a German shepherd who has NO BOUNDARIES AT ALL, she kisses EVERYBODY! We refer to her as a "kissing shepherd."

People, but women probably more so, like cute things and puppies are cute. Why do you think there are so many memes of baby yoda? I mean if baby yoda was real he would be molested everywhere he went.

Seriously though, I know how frustrating it is when you're trying to train your dog and people undermine you. They don't mean to, just don't know anything about dogs.

I have half a mind to "liberate" one. For two years, all it does is sit in a kennel.

You should dang well do it. My Dad rescued one in a similar situation. Caged in the sun on the deck of a millionaires pleasure boat. A 45’ Searay I believe it was.

He's doing well so far. Obviously I'm getting the usual dummies doing kissy noises trying to screw up his training.

He's kinda got it down how to act out in public . When someone trys to get him to react and be naughty by treating him like a baby Yoda lol. It's a "Loud NO Finn", slight tug on the collor "IGNORE THAT PERSON", then get him out of the situation if the person continues doing kissy noises. I don't even acknowledge the person exists.

I am obviously allowing him to interact with people / dogs . But it's only on my say so and when the situation is calm and Finn is calm . Kissy kissy gets no love from us.

It's working really well for us. He's a really chilled little dude that's leaning to ignore the **** outta distractions.

You obviously have issues with women. Deep and disturbing it appears. Of course girls are going to approach a guy and a new puppy and expect to be received favorably in their approach, as they well should be....

Nothing worse the a big dog charging at you that you don't know that if it is friendly or not, with muddy paws jumping all over you and knocking you to the ground. Or a reactive dog that's going nuts on the end of a lead . You see it all the time. It's down to bad training and the dog being taught it's ok to act like that around strangers.

This is what these people are trying to train my dog to be like . I don't care if they expect to be received favourably, they will not be welcomed. I My won't allow it.

My pup is being taught strangers are not play things. He's not to interact with strangers without my say so and if he does he will be calm and polite.

A cute puppy stage lasts a few months why should I let others coo over him and teach him to jump, be excited and reactive to strangers in the street?

    It’s called socialization.

This goes to show that you know nothing about dogs . What you are suggesting is NOT socialization. But is exactly how badly behaved, reactive and over excited dogs are created .

Why do you thing guide dogs/puppies in training have DO NOT TOUCH, FEED OR INTERACTIVE signs on them?

A clue... Allowing strangers to randomly come up to a puppy/dog and be all over that fur baby is bad . It teaches dogs to be in a state of uncontrollable excitement around strangers.

I have been asking this question for many, many years.

When we took my son to the dentist for the first time there was a nurse who put her face only centimetres from my boys face to talk to him. He got afraid and I told the idiot nurse that she is stressing my child. She looked at me and said, "Am I stressing him?" "Yes, you are" I said, but the idiot continued keeping her face close to his.

We went on holiday to Bulgaria and so we asked a woman to water my bonsai trees on our balcony but not to disturb them because I have many years of work growing them and putting the branches in the right place. When we returned home one of my oldest bonsai was on the floor and a branch was broken against the wall. I asked the woman why she disturbed my bonsai and she said, "Because it was windy".

In my country, everyone uses a bicycle. When in automobile traffic men cycle one behind the other to keep safe from the cars. Women, on the other hand, cycle 2 abreast so they can talk to each other, which makes it difficult for cars to manoeuvre around the bicycles.

I think the answer to our question is that women are obsessed with "touching" and "talking" and "sticking their noses in other peoples lives". They talk all day long on the telephone and they speak about nothing and nothing. :blahblah:

Yes. There is a film here in Sweden called, "Hundtricket" - "The Dog Trick" on how to meet women by walking your dog in the park. In this film clip a guy tells his friends how it works:

I will happily concede at this point to allow your permanent remarks in this thread stand on their own, because in my opinion they only represent your inability to interact with your puppy and women in a reasonable and non stressed out manner.

I won't allow is people to willingly screw up my dog. I simply cannot agree with your point of view that my pups mental stability must suffer and I MUST allow random stranger's to teach my puppy that all passers by are play things.

This is... I REPEAT NOT socialisation.

A big adult dog that gets over excited knocks over children, the elderly, barks and that acts crazy in public is not ok. You may think that's great but I do not.

My pup is being taught to be a good citizen from an early age. He will not be allowed to be conditioned by strangers to be excited by people in the street .

Plus On top of this people shouldn't be touching my puppy during a pandemic anyways. What you're suggesting is very irrisponsible.

This says it all.... So you live your life pandering to women you've never met before. Even if it makes the things you care about suffer....

These people are hurting my puppies development. I will not allow his training to suffer. I care about him and not them.

He is my responsibility and letting strangers have their fur baby fix is not my concern.
