The courts have let red flag laws stand. Once again they are not feeling like fighting on this issue.
Because they have a better standard of living, and live longer and are happier then America. Most countries when they see something works they move towards that the US seems to be the only country arrogant enough to think that they have the best system in the world

Cite the proceedings of such. Prove the claim.

Which does not even begin to address the question presented to yourself.

Once again. Why do you care so much about how the rest of the world sees the united states? Generally one does not care about such minute details unless they are intending to stay where they are for the long haul, rather than cutting and running at the first available and convenient opportunity. As you have already expressed a desire to leave the united states and claim asylum in some other nation, there is no legitimate reason to concern yourself with what is going on in the united states.

So if you think there are other places where things are better than in the US why don't you move. It would be easier than trying to create your own state.

Its a lot harder to get into another country, because you need a reason or to have something they want. Neither of which I have, If things don't change by 2021 I will probably try and make a BS asylum claim in Europe
Because they have requirements (not as crazy as the US) like having to get a workers or student visa, then live for 6 years or only 3 if you marry someone in the country before getting citizenship.

Limited by the constitution, including the 2nd, 4th, 5th and 14th amendments.
Why do you lie to yourself?

    You didn't answer the question:

You seem to be a very confused young person. You just indicated better places than the US and now you find fault with those places. So are they better or not? Maybe it's just you. Maybe you are not a happy person. You should come to my place and we can shoot guns and go hiking and fishing in the mountains. It would make you a happier person.

Matters not because bottom line, this city / state will never happen for myriad of reasons, mostly related to Constitutional problems and funding.

To begin with problem is funding, in order for the OP to even start the process he will need funding and lots of it, way more funding than I believe has any clue about, to form even a small city is going to require acquiring contiguous properties and once word gets out someone is buying up land, the surrounding lands will suddenly, literally, overnight go up in price, therefore in order to acquire enough property for even a small city, it is going to take billions of dollars and that is going to require finding deep pocket investors to share the cost of funding the venture.

Then comes problem two, the investors will want to see a business plan and run that plan past their attorneys and once it is discovered the reason for this project is something that might run afoul of constitutional law, those investors will either shy away from the project in it's entirety, or demand predatory interest rates and exit clauses that will doom the project, before it see's the light of day.

But just for fun lets say the OP is extremely intelligent, business savvy and a very good salesman and actually finds money needed to acquire enough contiguous property to qualify as a city, up pops the next bombshell, the state legislature.

If in the very unlikely chance the OP, his investors and some well heeled attorney's / lobbyists can convince a state legislator or two to sponsor a bill to incorporate the OP's city, that bill will hit the Appropriations Committee, there it will be decided if the OP and his backers can make it worthwhile for the legislature to consider bringing the bill to the floor for debate, if successful it will then head to the Judiciary Committee, who will with a microscope, examine the proposed charter to see if it meets all state and federal constitutional requirements, and there it will be dead on arrival, between the lobbyists, who will testify before the Committee against the incorporation and the state Attorney Generals opinion that the charter runs afoul of constitution, the bill will be shelved.

Now that is just a narrow view, before the bill will ever see the light of day on the floor for a vote, it will also need to be approved a minimum of three more committees, Commerce, Finance and Tax and Government Accountability.

This entire idea of a gun free city is a non-starter from the get go and the idea of forming a new state is so much more complicated, it's not even a possible dream.

Then there are all of these laws the OP has proposed, which for some reason he fails to understand cannot be passed without a legislature voted into office by the people of the state, not a non-existent city, no one, no single person has the legal authority to pass an law that can result in the incarceration of another in the U.S., it's just not possible.

So without a state none of the proposed laws can be enacted, and with a city and a duly elected city council, which requires a city first none of the proposed anti-gun ideas will ever again see the light of day, nor can require a penalty beyond 364 days of incarceration.

As such this entire thread is nothing more than an exercise in mental foolishness, proffered by someone who appears to not even understand the basics of civics, nor less the complications of forming a city and even less about forming something considerable more complicated as carving out a new state from an existing state.

Folks this tread is over and done, total toast.

I would also suggest to the OP as I stated before, take a few courses in civics and get a clue as to how government actually works in the U.S. before proffering any more whimsical and totally no-starter ideas.

Which, yet again, does not actually answer the question that is being presented to yourself.

Once again. Why do you care so much about how the rest of the world sees the united states? If you truly intend on leaving the united states in search of somewhere better, why does it matter how the rest of the world may view and regard the united states overall? Do you fear that such views will undermine your claim of asylum abroad?

A civil war to defend the Constitution and to fight back against your efforts to strip people of the rights outlined therein. A war against tyranny and authoritarianism.

You will never be elected to any legislative body. To ask others to go on a hunger strike you yourself would refuse to engage in is reprehensible. Any leader who asks those he aspires to lead to do things he is not willing to do himself is not worthy of leadership.

....And thus you reveal yourself as the totalitarian you are... as if any further proof were necessary.

What is the "AU"?? Or do you mean the "EU"? Either way, if you like their laws so much then move there.

So fighting a war that at most 1/3 of the US loves 1/3 hates and the other 1/3 don't give to ducks about yeah okay.
I will make a bid for candidacy in my state legislature next election, I would lead by legislation and playing the game to get what I want while having supporters do things to bring attention world wide to the struggle. If the leader risks their own health then the movement risks losing a leader.
Totalitarians don't disperse power, which is exactly what the amendment I am going to propose for convention will do. Also people will love it because its the perfect get one free amendment for the powers of the states to use to pass what ever they want. Texas uses the amendment to ban abortion, California uses the amendment to ban guns everyone is happy

It only took three percent of the people to support the American Revolution at first to get the ball rolling. There is a much larger percentage than that who believe in the Constitution and protecting the rights outlined therein, and who would willingly take up arms if necessary to block your agendas.

Your rationalizations are empty and self-serving. Your bid is doomed to failure. Besides, you would have to take an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution to take office; an oath which, if you have any integrity at all, you will be unable to take.

Rationalize all you want. You want to strip people of their rights. You want to destroy the Constitution, and as such will never succeed.

I would have my hand on the bible and say the oath even if I had a lighter in the other hand ready to symbolically burn a copy of the document. Also I would not say trying to prevent gun violence is self serving
Its not stripping people or rights it giving people control over local politics. As the founders intended.

The Founders also intended American citizens to keep and bear arms.

In the preamble to the bill of rights it is made clear that it is only meant to be a check on the federal government not the states, thus no they did not intend for citizens to carry.

Then what do you think they intended with the inclusion of the Second Amendment? For that matter what do you think they intended with the inclusion of the First Amendment? Do you mean they didn't intend for the people to have free speech?

If that was true, which it isn't, why are so many people trying to legally immigrate to the U.S.?

The problem is you have it so good here you fail to understand it and instead of supporting the country you work to destroy it.

That's sad, sick and all too common amongst spoiled Americans who have no idea what it is like to live where freedoms are restricted and rights are non existent.

I will support this country when it give me the same safety nets and rights that Europe gives their citizens. I refuse to unconditionally support the US. A country that cares more about war than it's citizens is a country not worth support.

Who is trying from the rest of the West to come to the US?

You want a safety net make yourself one, it is not the job of the people around you to pay for yours, that's your job, don't want to do that then tough live without one.
