The Constitution is the ruling document of the USA. However, those who like centralized power and control (aka Liberals) are those who desire to DESTROY the Constitution. It gets in the way of their Marxist pipe dream. Liberals already openly reject the whole document, as I will outline below. This is NOT an all inclusive list by any means, but merely offers up a few examples:


** They reject the limits on the legislative powers of Congress. (thus rejecting Article I)

** They reject the executive powers of the President if they happen to not like the President, and they reject the Electoral College. They reject the proper method and reasoning for removing a President from office. They reject the enumerated duties of a President, especially the duties of preserving/defending/protecting the US Constitution. (thus rejecting Article II)

** They reject the scope and role of SCOTUS and other inferior courts. They believe that SCOTUS are the sole interpreters of the US Constitution. They believe that SCOTUS are oligarchs. (thus rejecting Article III)

** They reject the Republican form of government that is guaranteed to the States. They reject protecting the States from invasions and domestic violence (especially when relating to immigration). (thus rejecting Article IV)

** They reject the formal amendment process, and instead regularly misuse the court system as a "work-around" to that. They wish to transform the USA into the SOA (Socialist Oligarchy of America). (thus rejecting Article V)

** They reject legislating in pursuance of the US Constitution. (thus rejecting Article VI)

** They reject that the States (collectively) are the owners of the US Constitution. (thus rejecting Article VII)

** They also reject many of the Amendments to the Constitution, and actively fight against people's inherent rights (such as the right to have and express an opinion, freedom of religion, right to keep and bear arms, due process, privacy, etc...)


So, as you can see, liberals reject the whole works. It gets in their way. They hate the document.

You failed to respond to the trend of ruling by Executive Order over the last several cycles, I'd say starting with Bush, then a huge ramp of ruling with a "pen and a phone" under Obama, and Trump carrying on the EO rule. Dems will push through a bunch of [progressive] crap if Biden wins. You may think that's a good thing or a bad thing.

 

Yeah. I was pretty convinced that when Trump took office, Congress would fight to get back all the power they've given up to the executive branch in the last 50 years. They didn't do that.

The neutering of Congress is almost complete. It'll be super.

 

Have any of the Execute Orders from past Presidents (Dem and Repub) destroyed the country? The answer is no. While I don’t agree with Biden’s politics, he’s not going to destroy the country anymore than Trump, Obama and Bush.
Of course this is all based on a huge assumption that Biden will win. I’m not convinced he will.

Biden can undo Trump's border security EO's and effectively neuter Border Patrol, ICE and Homeland Security. We'll see the caravans start again while there is a perceived open door on immigration. That will happen during the worst economic depression the world has seen, and where we can barely support our own. He can refit the EPA with greatly enhanced power, after Trump cut regulations to inspire business growth and productivity, and empowering the EPA will leave us with $4-$5/gal gasoline again and double or triple electric bills (things which impact the poor and working-class the most). On healthcare, he may not be able to do a lot without real legislation.

 

You ask them to surrender such a large part of their hatred that they would almost seem pro-American after that cleanup. Just a reminder --- all those Somalians in Minnesota can thank Bill Clinton.

A similar fear happened after Watergate. Although many people dislike Tricky Dick Nixon, the one honorable thing that China-loving weasel ever did was to submit his resignation AHEAD OF any impeachment proceedings.

That clean break was of course later muddied with Ford's pardon for Milhous, which I think the Dems believe would happen with Pence if Trump ever did step down...about as likely as a Sweet Meteor of Death striking D.C. on Election Day. And of course they float this first-cousin fantasy that Trump wouldn't leave, if defeated by Willie Brown's former squeeze and Sniffer Joe, the doorstop between her and the Oral Office.

How would that work for the Donks? Seriously? Who do they call to drag DJT out of "1600," on the Great Perp Walk? CNN? Prosecutor Harris, cackling maniacally, promising she'll pack the Supreme Court (and she has promised), to ensure Trump doesn't get away?
