That's okay....no one knows about Jesus either, they know what people said about him to other people before someone else wrote it down for others to edit and translate so the Church could decide what parts were okay to write down again and get translated a couple dozen more times before being edited and compiled into new versions of what someone once said someone said he said.

You can read about Jesus, or at least what is portrayed about him.
There are 4 books in the bible that are all about him.

You can read about Muhammed, but nobody does, the clerics don't want you too.
They will give you 21st century book reports to read, but steer you away from the original writings.

Most supposed Christians probably are not eve indoctrinated.

There are a couple thousand forms of Buddhism, and some are pretty good.
However most classify Buddhism as a philosophy and not a religion.
I'm not familiar enough with the multitudes of religions to comment on them

Religions were important a long time ago for a common bond in a society,
be they good or bad. but we have evolved past that now.

 

Don't fall for it, scratch the surface of Buddhism and you are in to all sorts of woo woo pretty quickly. Take meditation for starters

what I did like about it was that it dealt with karma, you are constantly trying to balance your personal scales.
Everything you did, emitted a reaction, good or bad, so a devotee is constantly emitting good karma.

But two years as a late teen, early 20's was enough for me.

Muhammed is not in the Qur'an, mentioned 4 times, and at least 3 could be someone else, and nothing about him.

He does have 2 biographies though, and the Muslims are discouraged from reading them.
