If you say so, BTW is Saddam and his regime still in power out from under the sanctions and inspections his chemical and biological weapons stocks replenished with new and better materials and his nuclear plan restarted?
But the leftist want to convince them we won't, you know the Obama strategy, let them know you won't use force.
The sanctions are hurting the Iranians, that is why we had the limpet mine attacks, the shooting down of the drone, and now the attempt to seize the British tanker. The repressive theocrats are unpopular with their people and need to look strong to keep them under their thumb. These incidents are as much about internal pressures in Iran as about anything else. The rocket attacks on Saudi Arabia and the tanker incidents, and dshooting down the drone, were staged to project an image of power to the Iranian people - 'See, we thumbed our noses at the USA.' This need to look strong can very risky, but the theocrats are determined to stay in power. Unemployment is high, and inflation rampant. In spite of draconian punishments, the Iranian government cannot stop anti-government protests. In 2018, over 7,000 anti-government protestors were arrested, 26 demonstrators were killed in protests, and at least 9 more died in police custody (Amnesty International). The government officially executed 507 people in 2018 - the highest pre capita number of executions of any country in the World. A Women's Rights worker in Iran, Nasrin Sotoudeh, was recently sentenced to 148 lashes and 38 years in prison in a secret trial before a judge for crimes such as removing her hajib (headscarf) in public and "insulting the supreme leader." Such over-the-top punishments show how desperate the Ayatollahs are to keep control of their people.
If they went after Israel it would be the last thing the State of Iran ever did. Israel would wipe them off the map
I don't think Iran's military would last any longer than Saddam's but a good reason to insure they do not obtain a nuclear weapon now, next year, ten years from now, forever.
Oh Iraq is the very paragon of freedom and stability which we left them as in 2004. Mission Accomplished.
It has nothing to do with the facts presented, where did you get that idea? Paranoia perhaps. I think as it is a condition you have, you should get used to people questioning you why you use color as it isnt usual. You never know, someone like me that has extensive experience in understanding other medical conditions might be empathetic, and I am. Read my question again...I simply asked a question. Cheers
The Ron Paul Institute suggests the Iranian version is the most likely cont'd http://www.ronpaulinstitute.org/arc...e-us-and-britain-continue-their-provocations/
Trump may not. Bolton and Pompeo do. The US military I understand is against. While it looks like the UK as usual is in cahoots with the US or it would appear Bolton and Pompeo, they have said they will not support a war against Iran. Neither will any in Europe. Pompeo and Bolton need to create situations which will get support for a war against Iran from the US.
Only if it used a nuke. If Israel had thought she could win a war against Iran she would have done it a long time ago. Her leaders often have wanted it but her military, like I believe the US one, does not want that. If they could win without much loss of American/Israeli life, they would. Israel has been waiting for the US to do the job for her.
They are doing what used to be called 'twisting the lion's tail" but they haven't gone so far that we are going to war over what amounts to vandalism. They could sink a ship if they want to go to war. I believe that they do not and the US doesn't either. Trump is President, not Pompeo or Bolton and Iran is creating the situations.
Trump may be President but most people believe Pompeo and Bolton are running the show. If they can get Trump to move as per the previous intended strike, then they have their war. Trump stopped it last time, just in time, that is true. However it is not known whether he wants it or not. He apparently believes it would destroy him getting a second term in office and that is what people are saying. The American's coming back in bags never mind his election promises would mean no second term.
Their planes are crap, their pilots are crap. Their missiles defence systems are manageable a few dozen SEAD sorties no problem. Once Air supremacy is established all their tanks snd vehicles are dead. Then its just a matter of their undertrained little army men.
Their air defense and their ability to engage in cyber war and presumably defend it is very good. However the main problem is that no one is going to be able to do anything which will seriously hurt Iran particularly any nuclear intentions she may have by air strikes. Hence you have to go in. Once you put boots on the ground which everyone says you will need to do to accomplish anything, Iran has the upper hand. She will not fight the type of war the US wants. It will be like Vietnam with serious and ongoing US fatalities. That the US is even thinking of such a thing when we are in knife edged battle to save the planet is beyond belief.
