First they were not counties they were countries. Germany did have fairly loose gun laws up until Hitler became Chancellor. Australia was similar to the U.S. and the UK prior to WWII allowed the "Upper Class" to own guns.

Never in my life have I ever encountered a broken stop light. But I’ll play along with your silly scenario...if the light is broken, it won’t be a ticketable offense to drive through it...because it’s broken. However, even If a cop decided you broke the law...it’s just a ticket. I’m guessing keeping guns illegally would be a tad bigger crime than just a ticket. I prefer to not have a criminal record. But that’s just me. I’m funny that way.
If guns became illegal there would be no point for me to keep it since I wouldn’t be able to target shoot anymore. The gun would be useless to me.
