Oh goodness! Is that all? I would tell you how many countries I have lived in and how many I have traversed but I don't want you to faint.
"Is America a democracy? I dont think so." Time for you to look up the history of Democracy and lick your wounds.
This is most likely the case. I have seen a couple of those Bill Maher videos but I can forgive the average American who hasn't been given a decent education. Much worse are the so-called educated people, such as .....
"You do"?? What in hell are you talking about???. Maryland is not a foreign country. That's where I am posting from, live and was born. And I'm not arguing that point in any case. I'm just pointing out that conservatives are bitching about something that no longer exists, we no longer have lifelong welfare in America, and haven't for going on 20 years. You guys really do need to catch up.
America was a sovereign Republic and grew into the greatest nation on earth, now it is a socialist open border invaded welfare state that is failing fast.
"You do"" ??? what in hell are you talking about. Maryland may not be the right wing paradise you live in but we are not a foreign country.
No most leftest have the Hitler mentality more so than Khan even. Violent radical and want their purest form of liberalism and tyranny. And soon you will have what you want a tyranical system of multicultural chaos and misery. It will be at least nice to know that you all will reap what you've sown.
No, YOU do not get it. Again, there are very clear and defined definitions regarding this. The attempts by certain people to blur the lines between those definitions are based in intellectual dishonesty at best, and as such are reprehensible. You can insult and denigrate the people that founded this nation and wrote the Constitution that is the required framework of our laws all you want, and all that shows me is that on some level you recognize the weakness of your position. If you choose to be dismissive of or disrespectful to our Founders then there is no point to further acknowledge you or your arguments. What they said regarding the intent of the Constitution has EVERYTHING to do with it. The Constitution is the be-all and end-all of American law, the efforts by disingenuous politicians and corrupt jurists notwithstanding. The word "democracy" appears NOWHERE in the Constitution or any of our other Founding documents. The sovereignty of our nation lies with the people themselves as individuals; it does NOT rest with whatever group can summon up a 50.1 % majority in a given moment.
How does one expect to have an intelligent discussion with someone who makes absurd comments like that?
At least you actually put a little effort in this post. Your quality is improving, well done. Curious, are you pro abortion?
You are calling me a liar. Again, you are calling me a liar. This is how you respond in a discussion when you dislike what you hear or read. I suspect that you are not at all literary. I am not saying that you completely illiterate but that you read only what supports your bias and if something doesn't fit your pre-conceived notions you simply regard it as false. This thread is entitled "Is America a democracy? I dont think so" Now, if you have an opinion on why America is or isn't a Democracy then you are welcomed to contribute your findings and perhaps support your opinion based upon the theme. Discussing the American educational system (as I have done) is in keeping within the thread of America's Democracy ............. your personal attacks are not.
If you want an intelligent discussion you need to hold up your end; which you haven't so far. The comment is not "absurd"; it's simple reality.
No, you are calling you a iiar and, to your credit, I see no evidence to the contrary. An interesting summation. I see no evidence that the system responsible for your education was an improvement over the American system.
Why not respond to the post rather than searching the internet for cartoons? You may want to lick my wound but I'm not into that.
Your response to the definition of the word "Democracy" indicates that you are struggling with the English language. Your spelling isn't too bad but your grammar and comprehension (in particular) are lacking. I speak English as a second language and I know it isn't the easiest language to master, but with some diligence, I think you will find the improvement worth it. "Democracy" is an applicable philosophy. There are plenty of examples to be found in the dictionary if you are still unsure.
I know EXACTLY what the word "absurd" means. Since you've already admitted you speak English as a second language, I think you're the one who needs to look it up. You insulted the Founders of this nation, and claimed that what they had to say did not matter. I would state that such an assertion equates perfectly with the core definition of "absurd".
