Is Touching Someone's MAGA Hat Assault? Yes/No

Against the background of today's hateful political civil war, YES, doing something to a political symbol like a "MAGA" hat against the owner's will would indeed constitute an assault.

 

If it was a BLM hat would you have posted this poll? It's bullying to knock someones hat off isn't it? Sounds like a hate crime to me.

 

What about touching a rainbow scarf of someone from the LGBT community because you disagreed with it?

Or, what about a flag an immigrant was holding/wearing?

What if you disagreed with someones religious symbol, could you touch that?

 

if they were kids in a school, not a crime, I woudl leave to a principle to discipline the child doing the bulling, if it happened again, I would kick the child out of the school

Absolutely 100% assault. The assailant should be charged and convicted. Further, being a violent criminal, he should be segregated from the peaceable population until such time as he can be shown to no longer exhibit violent tendencies.

The attacker looks some what older than regular high school kids too.

The video is showing assault.

 

I consider assault to be a physical attack. The kid was being bullied and I don't think the bullying in question was assault.

Catholic schools are parochial schools. I went to one for my first six years. They taught lots of religion and politics. If you sassed a sister you usually got a dam good whacking.

Totally agree. I hate bullying and harassment just as much as anybody else. But what was in that video isn't assault. You aren't assaulting or violently attacking someone for knocking a hat off his head. Its like we have become a snowflake country. Everything is rape, everything is assault.

 

If you stood in school and someone knocks your hat off, you say it's bullying.
