Well, religion isn't taught in government funded schools in the U.S. We cannot stop the voluntary transfer of wealth. It's against the concept of basic liberty, which you seem to dislike.

Personally I am an atheist, but what? I would just prefer them to keep it to themselves, do we really need to put people in jail for believing in a god? It's not like they blow things up because of it, I mean there are extremists but, they should be in jail for different reasons.

You missed my point. All prisoners are treated equally by a totalitarian government. Nothing about equality demands holidays, and in fact, I think rewards are anti-equality. Equality just means that nobody gets holidays (if anybody does). Not sure what your obsession is with holidays, you should be regretting that life is so unequal that not all people in the world get the same holidays, and for that reason, you should be like a typical developing world person, and never have a holiday, even weekends. Don't you just regret how unequal you are to somebody in Africa?

The U.S. is the biggest exporter of food in the world. We produce enough not only for our own use, but for a lot of other countries as well. We do import food, but that's primarily luxury food (like grapes in the winter and spring). (and, no, we don't want to occupy Africa, we have never occupied Africa, unlike European countries)

Anyway, I don't have the delusion that equality of results can or should happen. But since you do, you should live your life accordingly. Live as if you were in the poorest part of the world, so YOU can be equal with others.
