The name 'Christian' came from Antioch meaning 'little Christ,' and so I am also 'anointed!' (as a temple of the H.S.)

I never considered the Church a building.. or a denomination ... I thought it was the body of believers.

You mean the Hail Mary as in a prayer for the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary... So you revert to the Jewish laws and ritual purifications of Leviticus? Do you keep the laws of Leviticus?

You miss the point of why Hail Mary is a sin. If part of the doctrine of your church is actually a sin, then the doctrine of your church is corrupted. That's the point.

If you're a vegan and you're reading a vegan recipe book where one or two recipes require eggs, then the entire book is an insult.

Look it up.. Christos is Greek and it means anointed.

Sounds like you haven't completely separated from Pentecostal thinking....

Marry isn't an egg in a recipe.. According to scripture she was chosen among women.

Pentecostalism has nothing to do with this.
Mary was chosen to bare Jesus into the world. She wasn't chosen for reverence, and nor was she chosen to be prayed to. When Moses and Elijah showed up during the transfiguration ( Matthew 17:1-8 ) and God said, "This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to him". He didn't say to listen to Moses or listen to Elijah. Heck, Mary was no where to be found. So, its clear to me that Mary wasn't so important that anyone needed to pray to her.

Seriously, if the apocryphal books are all you have to go by, then I feel very sorry for you.

Why would God say listen to Moses or Elijah.. and how does that negate Mary?

Where did you come up with the accusation that I only follow the apocryphia??

There are no verses that tell you to pray to Mary. In fact, it says the exact opposite. Why is this so difficult to understand?

Mary was most likely a metaphor for Samaria instead of being a real woman.

Metaphors and/or 'types' are used thru out scripture and in fact reveal a 'divine plan' continuously repeated to validate the divinity of a God who reveals Himself to 'those who have ears to hear and eyes to see'.....many ppl just 'cant/wont' see as 'divine,' and continue in a self-imposed scotoma of denial as is in opposition to their 'selfish' beliefs, or rather unbelief's...

Will people stop believing in the ancientethnocentric Middle Eastern religious fairy tale if Jesus doesn't pop in to say "Hello" in 2017 or will they move it to the year 3017?

Those who base their faith on a day & year (like those of the 2000 hype, etc.) may fall away, putting their faith in men, but it's all part of the prophecy that speaks of prior to His coming:

The 2017 prediction doesnt 'witness' to me using the scriptures; but the 2000 yrs following His death & Resurrection has backing---questions are: what yr was He born, & how long did He live, ergo when did He Resurrect? Some say He was born as early as 7-6 BC prior to Herod the Great's death; others 4-3 BC, and if literal 0 AD. Most agree on his age of 33 YO at His death (anointed @ 30 YO as was the dedication of Jewish priests & ministered thru 3 Passovers per the scriptures), and so even for those who look forward to His 2nd Coming, no year shud hinder their faith, but a 'season' (range of years) shud boost their faith as this world continues on an exponential race to it's own destruction, but of God & not men.

But prior to His Coming, there has to be the Great Apostasy, great falling away from the faith, as prophesied:

    2 Thessalonians 2:3
"Don't be fooled by what they say. For that day will not come until there is a great rebellion against God and the man of lawlessness is revealed"

Of which many believe is already happening as we 'speak,' starting in a godless Europe following WWII and gaining in this country for example. This global environment is becoming 'ripe' for such a man.

And so the position of the Believer in the words of Jesus Christ shud take the position in scripture of, "Look up for your redemption draweth nigh," not in the vain predictions of men.

One of the ways to verify the year of his death may be to calculate the years in which The Fist Day of Unleavened Bread fell on a Thursday.

If the three days comments is meant to be taken literally...… as I believe it is...… then this points toward a Wednesday crucifixion............. a burial late afternoon or early evening on Wednesday....... Thursday would be an annual High Sabbath......… then on Friday the disciples prepared spices for his burial.... then rested on the weekly Sabbath, (Friday sunset to Saturday sunset).... then went to the tomb early Sunday morning....(the first day of the week)… but he was already risen......… if the resurrection took place 72 hours from the time of burial.... this would be late Saturday afternoon or early evening.....(before sunset).

I don't remember exactly what she said to him right now but during his NDE Colton Burpo got a message from Mary the mother of Jesus/ Yeshua.

The book about his NDE is worth reading just for the details he gives about Messiah Yeshua - Jesus still being in contact with his grandfather King David, his cousin John and his mom.

    Are YOU one of these:

    2 Peter 3:4
They will say, "Where is this 'coming' he promised? Ever since our ancestors died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation."

    2 Peter 3:3
knowing this first of all, that scoffers will come in the last days with scoffing,

    Jude 1:18
They said to you, "In the last times there will be scoffers "

    Or this person?

Popular Proverbs and Sayings:``’There Are None So Blind As Those Who Will Not See"

this proverb has been traced back to 1546 (John Heywood), and resembles the Biblical verse Jeremiah 5:21 (‘Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not")

My question to you is... Would you believe it?
If they are saying Jesus is in contact with King David, then that means the bible is lying when it says.

I used to believe very firmly in the "soul sleep" doctrine. I was taught it by Garner Ted Armstrong in '72 or '73 and it seemed like a massive improvement over the heaven vs hell teachings.

I began to study NDE accounts in 1990 and soon I had to admit that this theory was almost certainly in error.

    II Corinthians 12:2-4:

"I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth; ) such an one caught up to the third heaven.
And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth; )
How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter."

This sounds too much like the typical NDE account to be pure coincidence.

Are you referring to the person Paul was speaking about in the verse you quoted?

I admit that I may be wrong about this..... but for decades I had thought that Paul himself may have had a near death experience, perhaps after this time in which he had been stoned and appeared dead.

    Acts 14:19

"And there came thither certain Jews from Antioch and Iconium, who persuaded the people, and, having stoned Paul, drew him out of the city, supposing he had been dead. "

But then he got back up and left. He didn't immediately go into a vision.

NDEs can be very convincing, but then you'll have to look at all the other NDEs. Some people claim to have met Mohammad, others claimed to have experienced hell. Some even said to have seen God. They all contradict each other - and many of them contradict the bible. NDEs appear to be intense delusions according to doctors and scientists who examine these sorts of things.

I have been studying this phenomena for 25 years rather obsessively.

I came to the conclusion that a NDE that includes the "Life Review" is in a different category from a mere out of the body experience.

There is a verse in the Catholic Bible that implies that it is the Word - Logos who meets with people and reviews their life with them.

    http://www.drbo.org/chapter/30006.htm
[6] "For my angel is with you: And I myself will demand an account of your souls."

    John 5:22
"For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:"

When the final Elijah comes along, perhaps one of the questions that he will need to put in front of Christians, Jews, Gentiles and unbelievers…… is whether or not the being of light or (Being of Light) of NDE fame…… is the Word - Logos/ YHWH/ Messiah Yeshua - Jesus in his glorified form…………. or a fallen angel acting out the role of Yeshua - Jesus.

My impression at this time is that there is not a whole lot of room for this phenomena to emerge out of mediocrity. The NDE accounts that I have read can only come from extreme light………. or from extreme darkness……. they are certainly not merely the figment of somebody's imagination.

Look how divided the church is on this question at this time:

    http://www.christianforums.com/t7647330/
Do you believe that some NDE accounts fit with scripture?

Yes, I believe that some NDE accounts are genuine meetings with the Messiah or angels. 8 …32.00%

Maybe but perhaps some NDE accounts are of a meeting with Satan?! 6 …………24.00%

No, the near death experience accounts are mostly false and misleading. 9 ………..36.00%

I don't know enough about this subject yet to express an opinion?! 3 …………………12%

Seems to me like you desperately want to believe in this.

Watch this Youtube video. It discusses NDE from a guy who experienced it.

I am listening to this right now………. Yes…… in a way I would be disappointed if later on I were to find out that the being of light who reviews lives with people was Satan appearing as an angel of light.

At this time I am fairly certain that the being of light reviewing peoples' lives with them is…… the Son of G-d fulfilling His role as Messiah:

    John 5:22
"For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:"

I believe that the mysteries being explained to near death experiencers is an example of Messiah Yeshua - Jesus speaking plainly of the Father.

    John 16:25
"These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall shew you plainly of the Father."

One key to understanding the seeming conflict in these verses is to understand that in a sense…… Elijah the human…. in a way ceased at his death/ metaphorical sunset…… and preparation began for his role as John the Baptist.

    Leviticus 23:32
"It shall be unto you a sabbath of rest, and ye shall afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the month at even, from even unto even, shall ye celebrate your sabbath."

The world view and ideas and understanding of Elijah the human…… in a sense ceased at the death of his body……. and just as sunset Friday evening begins the weekly Jewish Sabbath…… so also the soul- spirit of Elijah began to be prepared for his next role at his death……….

    Matthew 11:13,14
"For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John.
And if ye will receive it, this is Elias, which was for to come."

Here is a writing that gives an excellent explanation for the "life review" part of the near death experience.

This is about half way down the page after the heading….
    "The Judgment Seat of Christ."

Perhaps what we need to do is figure out what G-d expects us to do to honor the principle of Jubilee and debt release.

1867 would also be one of those Jubilee years............. America and Canada at that time did not honor the principle of Jubilee as we should have...… and 56,000 business owners paid the price! The money supply was decreased..... and they soon went bankrupt.
