People there is a BIG difference between a marriage falling apart and someone falling in love when someone else and getting a divorce and indiscriminate sex with strangers or sex as sport as in Wiener and Spitzer and Clinton's case.
The former has no bearing on their ability to manage the public trust thrust upon them in elective office, that latter certainly does.

Although I think that is a despicable act, it pales in comparison to sending a picture of one's junk to random women and underage girls.

South Carolinians, who are about the most religious tent-revivalist people in the country, re-elected a guy who couldn't have done anything more dishonest or immoral if he had committed himself to setting records in those areas. You now know my opinion of conservative religionists. Quite frankly, they ain't ****, and the approval rating should drop another 5%.

He's still a Republican/conservative, that is enough to consider him bad, but I'm not surprised that most Republican/conservatives here criticizing Weiner, defend their own adulterers. Nice going!

Don't be inane. This thread is about Cindy McCain and her comment. I'm just pointing out that she's no better. You're just mixed up. You don't fool anyone with your insipid question. Man up to it.

Yeah, have you? Where have I bore false witness? I'm just reporting what is fact.

Oh yeah, I forgot, Libertarians like Ron Paul, the racist.

And you are attacking me for comparing a conservative to Weiner and asking how they differ.

You're one mixed up person. This thread is about Cindy and her criticism of Weiner, so I would say that Cindy is the one attacking first. And I never said Weiner was better, if you can quote me, then by all means do, otherwise don't put words in my mouth.

Yeah, Cindy needs to read up on it, don't you think.
And you are a hypocrite yourself, calling others out for calling others out! Bwahahaha!

In a battle of words, you come unarmed. Fire on!

What a silly post. I can't stand Weiner or McCain and McCain may be a registered R but he's in the D camp and he certainly ain't no conservative by any stretch of the imagination....LMFAO!!!

Oh sure, cheating on a wife who has trouble walking and is no longer pretty, is so much more nicer and better than texting pictures of your privates. Neither one is acceptable FYI, so quit trying to rescue Cindy, the home wrecker, for her unwarranted criticism. Are you saying that every teen girl that has texted pictures of her boobs and teen boy that has texted pictures of their privates are predators? My, you will stretch it so that Cindy doesn't come out smelling bad, don't you?

It isn't about whether they are conservative or not, it's about his being Republican, and whether you think he is conservative or not is irrelevant, he's a Republican. And if you don't claim him as you're own, why are you so intense on defending Cindy McCain? After all, she is married to him. :roflol:

I can't believe you are that dense. This thread is about Cindy McCain. If you want to talk about someone else, start another thread. Cindy criticized Weiner - so where is she so pristine to be able to do that?

So typically Republican - you don't like it when Bush is criticized because as you all say, he's no longer President, but you go and drag out something that has nothing to do with this thread in order to defend Cindy McCain, who your co-hort says is not even a conservative! Too funny!:roflol:

What the hell does that have to do with it. The fact that she is a mother and has raised teenage daughters gives her the privilege to criticize someone when she was no better when she was younger?
You're the one that doesn't get it.

Oh bull(*)(*)(*)(*). Teen girls and teen boys have been sexting - do you call them predators? Like I said and obviously you're so one-tracked mind you haven't even read my posts. I don't give a crap what Weiner did, it wasn't illegal or he would be facing charges, so enough of the false crap.

Not as much as bringing up Cindy's sordid past rattled yours!

What??? OMG...I despise her as much as him and you are the one who referred to him as a R/conservative, not me. Have you been drinking?

Well, most every Republican considers himself a conservative. That he may not be wound as tight as some of the *********s may not be to your liking, but it is what it is.

About my drinking, not at this moment, but I wouldn't mind having a Margarita, dealing with airheads makes me crave a drink.

I thought that is what they called themselves. R's and conservatives all vote R, so what's the difference? Please break it down for me.

It's the Tea Party and if you want to know the difference...do your own homework.

There is no such "Party" called the "Tea Party". The last time I voted (in November) there was no Tea Party on the ballot. So, maybe you need to do your homework. Besides, your original question was "they are both Republican?" To which the answer is was yes and is still yes.

Ha,ha, that is too funny. Wait for it - there will be several who will come here claiming that Callista did not break up Gingrich's marriage (as he has had several) and is pure as the driven snow! :roflol:

Why are so many people defending the Weinerator? Do you really support this kind of behavior?

Because there were just as many defending Sanford (SC), the make-belief-hiker, when he got re-elected. People don't care what legislators do in their personal lives, as long as they do what they want them to do for their party.

I don't live in New York, so I could care less who the people of New York want to lead them. I have enough trouble in Texas with a bunch of airheads that lead in my State.

If Weiner had instead two years ago announce that his marriage to Huma had fallen apart and in fact he had met someone else and he and Huma were getting a divorce and he would remarry do you think he would still be in Congress and that anyone would have cared?

Yes nothing unusual about it especially since he was spending lots of time in Washington away from the home and go read his book. The marriage had been falling apart before he met Cindy and he and Carol were separated the last months of the marriage even though he still lived in the home they shared until the divorce was final.

So Republicans are not allowed to have failed marriages and divorces while Democrats are allowed to engaged in indiscriminate sex and abuse of women while lying about it?

If Sanford had announced that he was taking a trip to Argentina on taxpayer money to visit his girlfriend, and that he didn't know if he would divorce his wife at that time, do you think South Carolinians would have cared? Well, they elected him for Congress, so what is your point?

What a pathetic excuse. What excuse do you have for Sanford in South Carolina who Republicans elected for Congress after he lied to them all, even his own office about the fact that he was taking a trip to Argentina to visit girlfriend while still married to his wife?

What excuse do you have for Vitter, in Louisiana, who was caught with hookers wearing a diaper, while married and is still holding office?

What excuse do you have for Ensign in Nevada, who was having an adulterous relationship with an employee while her husband worked along side both of them, and then tried to bribe her into not talking about it?

I'm sure you'll have a good reason for each of their escapades, but I'm not buying it.

Nobody said that. Obviously you have trouble with comprehension. All that is being said is that people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. If you don't understand that adage, I'll break it down for you.

Republicans have their share of legislators who have done shameful things and shouldn't be acting like they are so pristine criticizing others for doing similar things. There, do you get it now?
