The Jordanian parliament recommended Monday that the Israeli ambassador to Amman be expelled, and that the Jordanian ambassador in Israel returns home, says a report by Sky news.
The report further says that the peace treaty between the two countries has to be re-examined.
The decision comes following Temple Mount riots that took place last week, and after Jordan summoned the Israeli ambassador on Sunday to protest "Israeli violations" at a Jerusalem holy site
    sacred to Muslims and Jews.

The subject is very infuriating and irritating.
    Shame on the Jordanian parliament.
Israel gives them drinking water every year, Israel protects the Jordanian monarchy against extremist terrorists and in return they are considering ending the peace agreement.
    Don't do favors to Israel!
The Jordanian king knows that without peace with Israel, the Palestinian mijority
    will take over the kingdom.

Hilarious. Israel steals water from the Palestinians and from Syria and then sells it to Jordan.

Jordan has been pushed too far. It has possibly woken up too late but due to its economy is in a can't win position. Best in such a case to put itself on the right side of morality.

The Palestinians and Syrians are not on the right side of morality. They are the aggressors and have been since the end of ww2

Fortunately the Jordanian parliament has little power and Abdullah II is very level headed.

What is being done to the Palestinians by the Israelis and encouraged by the American Christian Zionists who are Trump's base has no morality, is inhumane and is against International Law.

I believe he has currently been put into a no win place. His position obviously should be to support the Palestinians and Al Aqsa.

All the Palestinians have to do is get rid of Hamas and stop attacking Israel.

Abdullah II will bribe various members of Parliament as necessary.

    Nothing will change.

These fellows certainly agree with me :)
    https://www.theguardian.com/world/2003/sep/25/israel

The history of the Pal/Israel conflict is a littered with fk ups - on both sides of the fence. Right from the beginning - the rational for the creation of a homeland - in Muslim lands - in one of their most holy spots - was religious. Rarely a good rational for much.

The area chosen was inhabited by a majority of Palestinians. The first thing that happened in 1948 was Israel unilaterally declaring statehood - something that was not part of the agreement by which Jews were "allowed" to occupy the area that they did. This resulted in war - after which 700,000 Palestinians were forced to leave their homes - many of which went to Gaza which was under the control of Egypt.

Then in 1967 Egypt lost control of Gaza. The 2 state solution has never become a reality. Again the blame lies on not only both sides - but the UN, the US and others.

The occupied territories have been basically an apartheid state.. complete with blockade and all kinds of other nasty things.

Israel - right from the get go - has had as its objective to retake all of the "Promised land" - the current regime is particularly zionist in this respect.

Sure we can get into the stupid stuff on the other side as well but, at the end of the day it is a blood feud - one in which most of the people commenting have absolutely no clue what they are talking about and are uber partisan in favor of Israel due to the plethora of state sanctioned propaganda here in the US.

Those supporting the leadership in the surrounding region are not in a position to criticize inhumane treatment of humans.

Ok I have been trying to find out what this is about. There is of course a lot of problems with Al Aqsa, people refused the right to go and worship and all sorts of carry on's going on as the far right including the American Christian Zionists work to stop it being a Muslims religious site and instead make it into a third temple so that they can have their Armageddon. For a long time things were kept calm because Jewish Rabbis said it was against Judaism for Jews to be praying there but over the past few years, Palestinians have been increasingly edged out as Al Aqsa is surrounded by Jewish settlers.

It has always been considered that Israel taking over Al Aqsa would create a Religious war...but given the antics of ISIS over past years that might just be more of the same and there again Israel and ISIS are on good terms.

What has happened is that a very important Muslim religious day has coincided due to different calenders with a very important Jewish religious day and Netanyhu decided to let Jews go to Al Aqsa to pray. This resulted in Palestinians being beaten up by Israelis instead of being able to worship.

    http://jfjfp.com/how-the-once-fringe-jewish-temple-movement-is-going-mainstream/
Palestine warns of ‘religious war’ over Aqsa’s status

How the once-fringe Jewish Temple Movement is going mainstream

Israeli forces attack Palestinian worshippers in Al-Aqsa

It is easy to see why Israel and the American Christian Zionists would believe they can now take over Al Aqsa. Trump is illegally giving them the land that was to have been Palestine and all the history that that land knows. This is coupled with Israel working with the extremist Muslim countries of Saudi Arabia, UAE and Bahrain to try and get Iran destroyed though I have heard UAE might not be all that much in this. At the moment due to this the Palestinians have no support and Israel is apparently busy annexing the West Bank without calling it that intending on keeping the Palestinians without rights for eternity. Her belief is apparently that she will break their spirit so that they will accept being serfs forever or they will die. (Real News interview I saw yesterday)

The position of Israel and the Trump admin to me is like a veil of darkness has come over the world and humanity has been lost.

There are not 34,000 active pilots in the Israeli air force ... and that was just one example of Israeli nastyness. One that you can not handle so you have to spout nonsense :)

I posted a link which explained how Israel was bombing civilians - and 27 pilots doing the bombing were protesting this fact - refusing to fly.

Just because you can't deal with reality is no reason to name call ;)

Jordan has nothing to gain from a war with Israel

Since the 1967 war the jordons have done the intelligent thing by avoiding conflict

Some people have a periodic need to have their arses handed to them. Maybe Jordan reaches that point.
