It's ok, the feeling is mutual, your argument(s) never mattered. What's in the Constitution, including Article VI of course in its entirety is the only thing that matters.

I look forward to seeing the next treaty that's "just like a Constitutional amendment".

You learn so much from people here.

You apparently have an English language problem, not to mention a reading comprehension problem. First I never said a treaty is “just like a Constitutional amendment”. You have a nasty habit of making up things you think I posted because of your perception issues. Second, anything that changes provisions within the Constitution (such as a treaty) amends it. This is as simple as it gets and plain English, just like Article VI is written, in plain English.

    You’re welcome. Still confused?

So to focus on the subject of this thread, Trump’s order for an extra-judicial assassination is a clear violation of Article VI and several other clauses within the Constitution. And CONgress has no constitutional authority to grant the Executive the power to commit extra-judicial murder. The last 3 Presidents should be indicted for committing war crimes in violation of international law and the Constitution.

I have zero problems, other than the laughter induced by reading these nonsensical ideas you propose.

You can't even remember what you said.

Yes yes. Let us know when SCOTUS calls and asks for your help.

You’re contradicting yourself. You do have problems. I never proposed any “nonsensical ideas”. I didn’t create the Constitution nor did I invent the English language. There is a vast difference between creating a Constitutional Amendment and ratifying a treaty. But they both effectively modify the Constitution and both become part of the Supreme Law of the Land. Your amusement doesn’t change any of those facts. Still confused?

One question that comes to mind is whether Generalissimo Trump can simultaneously campaign as the hero to Repub war mongers and the messiah to those who are opposed to endless war? If history is the judge the answer is yes since Trump can talk out of both sides of his mouth while pontificating through his butt..........it all makes the minions swoon.

I loved it. A remark from a dedicated Trump loyalist.

I guess that proves my point. We can never allow these people to chose our President again. Thanks for the assist.

So no answer to how that silly but quite funny meme Trump retweeted is "disgusting" or from a "sick puppy." Gotcha.

Here's some more on Schumer, from all the "sick puppies" out there who still have a sense of humor. The "Meanwhile in Gotham City" one is one of my personal top ten favorites. Hope it doesn't cause a seizure.

Ok I’m confused, does he want to go to war or does he want to back down?
    Please clarify.

Not at all. These photoshopped pictures are not from our President.

It doesn't help your credibility that you don't know the difference.

Trump is blustery and a blowhard.

He will not go to war.

Are we still "inching closer to war"? Or was that just leftist silliness?

It looks like Iran backed down.

I would say he will avoid war at all costs, but close enough.

I can't. We are talking about Trump here, and he, obviously, didn't know what he was doing. He rejected the advice of the defense department, state department (not counting his lackey, Pompeo), and he rejected the policy of two other administrations. He nearly started a war.

Iran retaliated, and Trump went uh-oh. Trump's reaction to an Iranian ballistic missile attack that easily could have killed several American troops was to say, "Iran appears to be standing down."

Were it not so tragic -- he is, after all, our President -- this would be funny.

So, no, I can't explain how Trump's mind works. I don't think he can. Often times, it depends on what day it is or who spoke to him last.

I agree with you. However, there is this.

The Trump administration has abruptly canceled three classified congressional briefings related to the ongoing Iran crisis, in some cases providing little or no explanation for doing so.

The State Department called off two briefings that were scheduled for Wednesday, Senate and House aides confirm to CNN. The Pentagon also scrapped Thursday's classified briefing on Iran for the House Armed Services Committee due to scheduling issues, according to a US defense official and house aide.

John Rood, the Defense Department's top policy official, had been expected to deliver that briefing. A spokesperson for the Pentagon said that the Department of Defense was working to schedule a time to conduct the briefing.

Congressional lawmakers were slated to receive a briefing on embassy security while the Senate Foreign Relations Committee expected to hear from top State Department officials about the administration's Iran policy and authorities for the use of force before the last-minute schedule changes.

    https://www.cnn.com/2020/01/15/politics/state-department-cancels-iran-briefing/index.html

Trump refuses to inform Congress and refuses to inform the American people. He will not hold a solo press conference in the press room because he is scared to death of the White House press corps and the questions they would ask. His idea of a news conference is an interview on Fox News. Put a different way, he is a coward who refuses to account for his decisions and statements.

    That is dangerous.

I find his tweets far more informative than 90% of the press's questions. He's prolly expecting about as much out of them as I am- stuff about as relevent as 'why do you wanna start WW3?' The press have lied themselves into irrelevance. No one is watching, so whats the point?

    Good.

He campaigned on not going to war and bringing our troops home.

Let's hope he brings them home soon.
