You missed the point of that entirely, in your haste to consider it in only the most rudimentary fashion.

Some children may well have sexual curiosity, but we universally understand them to be without sexuality. That position is a fundamental responsibility of adults and protectors of children (what kind of person needs to have that explained to them?).

A teenager who declares a sexuality, is therefore declaring their adulthood. Declaring a sexuality is quite a different thing to private urges, undeclared (due to one's status as a minor).

I do assign knicknames to political people that is not name calling unless you are ready to admit that calling someone Little Marco, Lying Ted, Low Energy Bush and whatever Comey or Sessions was recently called name calling?

However, this student is not a child, so such an appeal to emotion does not go very far with me. We are not talking about an 8 year old.

When students walk out to protest, against the rules, they are open to criticism by those who don't agree with their motive. Just because they are students, doesn't give them special protection.

 

You noticed that I did not criticize that guy for disagreeing with the walkout but he hardly touched on that he called her a skinhead lesbian.
I addressed the issue that he called attacked an 18 year old. Even if you do not consider an 18 year old a child that does not give you the right to insult the kid over something the walkout was not about.

Was the walkout about lesbianism ? No. Was the walkout about skinheads? No.

The tweet that Maine politician posted emphasized the lesbian skinhead deal not the 2nd amendment or the Constitution.

Back to your contention that children's motives are fair game for criticism by adults. Ok for the sake of argument I give you that so the guy shoukd stick with the issue not make the kid's alleged sexuality the issue.

Anyone such as that politician in Maine who attacks a child of teen he you prefer has sabotaged his voice to criticize the kids fir the issues.

BTW - Emma Gonzalez is NEITHER a skinhead or a lesbian.

1) A skinhead means they have a shaved head...with skin and no hair. She clearly has hair so she is not a skinhead.

2) She is (apparently) bisexual - not lesbian.
