I think you are confused about what happened. the issues was negotiated and finished with in 2014. Trump bringing it up was just trump sloppin the hogs that dont know whats going on
Trump isn't going to abandon any of these countries. I think that Trump would absolutely love to help the Europeans stem the migrant tide. That would win him a great deal of support among his base.
- climate neutral technologies and climate protecting meassurements - free trade - lock down of mediterranean route, deals with north african countries In all those points we could find no commn agreement with USA. Since all others agreed, why make further discussions? Merkel is a very calm person. Calculatin, what she said now shows she has little interest to follow that chaos from the weekend. With trump we cant find constructive solutions
He's probably uncomfortable with the idea of the US taking in more refugees. But putting ships in the Mediterranean to turn back migrants? He'd jump out of his socks at the idea. Maybe the Germans should suggest it.
Obviously not. He didnt bother anyways. That clown didnt even hear the speech of the italian PM, who was his host. I ask again, how do you imagine further alliance between Germany and USA, when we dont see any common ground?
I see you suck up fake news like cum. Missed the picture of the earpiece in his right ear? http://gizmodo.com/president-trumps-translation-earpiece-is-just-really-sm-1795615655
You're asking what issues we could possibly work together on? Okay, we all likely want to see stability in the Middle East, with the conservative governments of Egypt, the KSA, the Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain, Iraq, Pakistan and Turkey all remaining viable and stable. We would all like to see the migrant crisis dealt with in some better fashion. Most of us want a peaceful end to the Ukraine crisis, likely ending in some partitioning of Ukraine and it's eventual inclusion in the EU. We would all like to keep trade between our nations from breaking down entirely. We'd all like to make sure the Turks don't send 2 million refugees into Europe. None of us want to see terrorist attacks take place in Europe over the next several years, as ISIS fighters spread through the continent. We don't want to see the social order of Europe destroyed by the rise of far-right anti-EU anti-Muslim parties. I'll ask you again, what concrete effects will this perceived breakdown of our relations have?
Oh no, the Western hating globalist doesn't like us anymore. I know. Invite another million Muslims to Germany. That will teach us!
Merkel obviously sees no room to debate with Trump. Given the fact most of Europe opposes trump its better for Germany to use him as outside enemy to create internal unity.
Okay, so it's obvious that you don't want simple reality to encroach on your fantasy of Germany leading the EU in an independent direction that is somehow opposed to the US on each and every issue. The United States has no problem with the EU. We were instrumental in getting the French and British aboard in the first place. Another mistake you make is to assume that Trump's rhetoric forever and always guides the interests of the United States. Ultimately, we don't give a **** about the 2% spending mandate. The fact of the matter? Very little is likely to change barring total social breakdowns either in Europe or the US. I'm glad this rhetoric has you all fired up, but it doesn't lead anywhere of substance.
Well all media see it different. Trumps visit in Europe was a desaster. So you say he will try to correct his massive failure? What has he to offer anyways?
I don't spend a lot of time worrying about what the media thinks about Trump, nor do I spend a lot of time worrying about ethereal concerns of "relations" without any concrete meaning. How long ago was it that Turkey and Russia were at each others throats? Now they're pretending to be super BFFs. Political rhetoric is often hollow. I don't like Trump's behavior on this trip, either. I also don't think that a single minor diplomatic event means the eternal end of the US-German alliance. You're drinking the Kool-Aid brother. Now, there is a distinct possibility that Trump DOES break the German-American alliance. He hasn't done it yet. He hasn't even frayed it.
But Merkel did. You dont know her. She is careful and diplomatic in her words. What she did now is not usual for her. Evryone agrees that her speech was an diplomatic earthquake. That our foreign minister followed and said roday USA is not a trustworthy country is on top of that. And its not just us. French president Macron basicly labelled Trump a clown. Let me ask you, are you happy with the result? It doesent mean the end. It means we change our orientation. You know what i find sad? Trumps twitter post where he saw a great sucess un Europe while all other G7 members just saw the entire meeting as failure. Merkel says its impossible to reason with him. Macron agrees. Italy feels insulted. So what now? There is no agreement in any point.
Good for the both of them. With a GDP like that one she's got a tough way to go. It's actually worse than Obama's.
I don't know, because I don't know what that means. You haven't given any concrete examples of what this change in orientation will result in.
nice try... you may want to check out their unemployment rate https://www.google.com.au/search?q=.....69i57j0l5.3592j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
Thread title- Merkel warns US, Britain no longer reliable partners ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mein liebling, we Brits don't need you and your wretched lefty EU, live with it..
There are more displaced people in the world than ever before, it's everyone's problem, but ito unemployment, despite taking all those refugees, they're doing pretty well.
Well you've already said multiple times on this forum that you're done with America and are ready to cut loose from it, so really, in that case, since Germany seems to be taking in anyone with a beard and a track suit, head there. I promise you'll be much happier.
