Well if you are a cutopathologist wih 1 mln followers and an army of 100 000 fans just because of your stories about cells I would still say the same if around the election time you would stop cytopathology and start expressing your opinion about political situation in favour of one of the candidates and against the other. Unfortunately cytopatholgists are not likely to have that fans army as actors, singers or sport stars, which is exactly the reason why they are not on air during the polirical rumble. Unlike the actors, singers and sport stars who 'have THE SAME right for opinion'. :)

The difference between the freedom of opinion and acting for money is a difference between Pharisee's prayer and publican prayer.

Attempting to claim that he was not specifically demeaning the individual's handicap when he mocked his symptoms because he frequently demeans other individuals that upset him in the same manner is hardly a testimony to presidential behaviour.

Even if they are incapable of offering a hint of criticism, I would hope that even the most smitten, devout Trump worshipper would not encourage their children to emulate such squalid conduct.

Indeed. That makes it so much sadder.

The show business performer's ego is so, so fragile, a respected reporter simply confirms the general consensus, that he does not recall Trump's fantasy, and this is how Trump lashes out at him:

    Sad. Very sad.

Yet fanatical Trumpaloons are thrown into a mindless frenzy if anyone honestly acknowledges that such conduct is sad.

    That's sad, as well.

I don't know who those "lefties" are that fester in your noggin, but decent folks, regardless of their political ideology, are not afraid to admit that demeaning individuals who upset you in such a loathsome manner, whether in particular or in general as you try to claim, is acceptable conduct.

The only significant disparity is that many conservatives would insist a spanking in in order.

It takes some truly retarded mental gymnastics to think this way.

    trump won deal with it.

Instead of talking to the wind, Meryl had to run for the Presidency. May be she doesn't know [or she knows this very well, but she pretends to ignore it] that she would have defeated Hillary in the Democrat primaries. And probably she would be the President elect now.

So ... Meryl ... why don't you run for the Presidency instead of spending empty and useless words?

you're right, of course. it is unkind to make fun of people in unfortunate circumstances, regardless of what those circumstances are.

for example, it would be very unkind to mock those who have the misfortune to be born into poor or working class families, and who've not been enabled to study French philosophy.

her words were far from empty. she went out of her way to demonstrate contempt for the working classes and the less academically/culturally privileged by demonising football, and granted herself permission to speak for the downtrodden (except the working class downtrodden, because you know, they're not hip) from her ivory tower. she also very clearly deified the performing arts, with the necessary implication that failure to agree was indication positive that you're a terrible person. the whole thing was deeply offensive on so many levels.

Of course, they were just lashing out. They perhaps imagined that ordinary folk would be upset if they left, and so would rise up and defeat Trump ... somehow?

Lefties are not decent people. The ends always justify the means with lefties.

Well, that was a rare old strawman attempt.

I did NOT suggest that Trump should be exculpated because he does the same to others. I said that there is plenty of footage of Trump flailing his arms around when he's simply animated, NOT when he is mocking anyone. Hence the point that his arm-flailing here is most likely just more of the same, theatrically addressing criticism or whatever it was.

I think this is Dog With A Bone Syndrome.

Trump's characteristic arm gymnastics do not represent mockery.

The campaign is over. Maybe move on?

Actually, it's against sexual assault, but I'm not surprised a Republican can't tell the difference between the two...

Wow, so making fun of the disabled is a common Trump gesture. Thanks for posting.

I love being accused of being a liberal by Republicans as much as I like being accused of being a Republican by the lefties. Ya'll just sound silly.

Sounds like you believe that men of good character are weak. That diplomats are weak. And men who degrade women are strong?

We just "elected" (not really) a guy whose only "qualification" was that he hosted a fake game show for washed up C-List celebrities pretending to do business stuff.

I don't see how his opinion has any less value than an actress.

Mah ... generally I don't trust Hollywood actors when they impress the masses with great speeches without taking political action [it happens that actors enter politics, we do know this. Those "VIPs" demonstrate to want the responsibility which is connected to do politics: who speaks to a mass makes politics, that's the core of politics].

So that, when a Hollywood star makes a political speech, it would be decent if that star decides to enter politics.

It's not about contents [freedom of speech is freedom of speech], but about how, you can make a great speech without showing political attitudes and without political purposes. With such a speech she has entered politics without becoming a politician ...

Or are we discovering who will be next Democrat Candidate for the Presidential elections in November 2020?

    Streep for President?

Why not? But she has to be clear, not ambiguous about her present social [and political] role.

You stated that I was butt hurt because the liberals got voted out. Sure, because all the non-liberals are upset that the liberals lost. :roflol:
