The reality is that capitalism is what the people demand.

Don't believe me? Ask a few random people if they like having a wide range of buying options, or would prefer breadlines and Govt cheese.

Billionaire? When my profits have to go back into the company for expenses such as utilities, loan, and (gasp) new equipment purchases? God forbid I would want my passengers to be riding on 20+ year old buses being held together by duct tape that would likely fail DOT inspections. Yanno, a brand freaking new deluxe Prevost H3-45 is close to 3/4 of a million dollars? And that's without the extra goodies and with the ADA lift.

No they don't. Everyone's wealth is their own, none of which belongs to America. And much of what the wealthiest own is gotten from ventures all over the globe. A homeless person searches far and wide for the best stuff, putting it in their cart to be used for whatever seems best to them. And you'd better not mess with it.

Plus the regulatory nightmares, DOT compliance for buses, drivers, and mechanics, hefty fines for noncompliance, tarnished images/reputation whenever a bus or other CMV is involved in an accident...etc.

    Newtonian with a fudge factor.

Again, you can have your opinion, just don't expect anyone to care.

    That's a myth.

My link is to Braudel's groundbreaking Civilisation and Capitalism 15th to 18th Century.

    You'd be surprised.

Lol. I don't care if you care.

What school of economics do you buy into?

You may have to research which one you embrace since you don't know?

And I could not care less..

It's not a question about caring, it's a question of standing.

It's more a question of what's hot. Stiglitz is a Georgist, but what I am interested in is his work. He recently coauthored a paper pointing towards labor dislocation as the cause of the Great Depression. That was fascinating.

So what school of.economics does he hail from?

For instance, each school is founded on.an economic philosophy. Uncle Milton' s was different than Keynes. And Milton's is not good for society nor workers. But favors corporations given they owe nothing to anyone but owners.and investors..Forget workers and the society and nation they are a part of..All that matter are Max profits.with no sharing of productivity with labor. Sweatshop Paradise via gutting our economy by offshoring.

There is more involved in.these. various schools than supply/demand of goods and services and labor.

I paid no attention that the supply and demand for labor decided that I could just pay.min.wage or slightly.above it to my.employees because the supply was high and low wages in my sector was industry average.. I noticed my competitors the owners lived very high while they could pay so little.. Uncle Milton's economic philosophy!

I went a different route. I kept less and paid.a middle class wage,,,,for over. 40 years. Because of this employee turnover was almost zero. Expensive training including wasted material was never a problem affecting the bottom line. Employees seldom went fishing instead of coming to work. My fellow workers were so efficient and a real asset, and salesmen . Loyal because they knew what other workers in this sector were earning which was an insult and exploitation..

But my competitors claimed I didn't know economics! Because I paid more than industry average. I called them greedy bastards.

So I don't buy into the philosophy of some economic principles. And its too affected by the base side of human nature to confuse it with science. It isn't science to understand.your income from.doing business must exceed your expenses.Nor.that cash flow is acceptable. That's accounting. That's common sense.

Current economics voided morality and basic decency. It disembowels our workers.and country.. If you don't agree with the current form you are accused of not understanding economies! What stupidity and idiocy.

    He's a Georgeist.

This is not something that is going to fit in a post, you would need to read Price of Inequality.

No need to read it given it is well known what out of control inequality creates historically. .But thanks.

Yet to bring up the dangers of overt and systematic inequality makes the radical right scream Marxism! Lol

Hell, even having a Commons outside of war spending elicits screams of Marxism!

The only way to go is economic and social Darwinism. At least some seem to hold such philosophy..
