Depends, on freighter ships it would range from 300-500B.

But when you look at the offset for the prison population and healthcare cost for gang related activities it is worth it.

Not to mention we would cut handouts off by nearly half.

    Democrats created this.

This victim complex they've drilled into the minds of these stupid ghetto people is precisely why they go out and burn down a city block when one of their thugging kin gets caught committing a crime with a gun.

africa has much worse poverty than America, Donald Trump will bring good living wage jobs back from china with tariffs so they aren't oppressed any longer and do violence.

he will make America great again so this kind of stuff doesn't happen anymore.

Huff-n-Cuck, singular source of all fact for Democrat voters, referring to this as "violent protests".

All other media referring to this as riots.

a little bit of context since you don't live in Milwaukee like I do... its segregated because of policies put forth by democrats, to force integration in schools, what I mean by this is people lived in nice neighborhoods, had a good local public school, but democrats thought they could solve poverty by shipping kids from one neighborhood into the schools of another neighborhood... and not just poor kids into wealthier communities, but wealthier kids were shipped into the poor neighborhoods for education... so parents who purposely bought homes in certain neighborhoods, which raised land values and wealth, all in an attempt to go to certain schools, suddenly found their children shipped to other schools that were failing and terrible... rather than address the failing schools, the democrats decided to spread the problem and failure around...

this is what caused milwaukee to become increasing segregated over time... people stopped moving into those good neighborhoods for schools, because there was no guarantee their children would get to attend those good schools, so they moved to the suburbs so they could guarantee their kids went to the good schools... this dropped property values over time, as people left these neighborhoods, it lowered the property taxes collected by the city to afford services, slowly this forced integration, as a lazy solution to solving the problem, caused the problem to explode and amplify and spread out among the entire city, so now the bad schools outnumber the good schools...

I mean shouldn't you question a public school system, where roughly a third of the public school teachers, send their own kids to private schools???

so please, swallow that little "bit of context" when you discuss segregation in the city... it was FAR more stable before democrats decided to force integration, because they either didn't want to address the failing schools, or seriously thought this was the best solution by merely spreading the problem around to everyone... all they did was destabilize numerous neighborhoods and instead of tiny pockets of poverty, they exponentially expanded that poverty city wide instead of it being kept in check... this city used to have far more wealth and poverty living together, blocks apart, now its been reduced to a few good neighborhoods where city employees lived because they were compelled by law to live within the city limits to work for the city, now that the law has been removed, they are leaving the city in droves, quicker than those before them...

to steal your line, long story short, it was democrats who caused segregation, and it backfired in their faces, but its a good thing they can blame republicans right? although to be honest, it's been roughly 50 years since a republican was mayor, I mean they even have a SUPER MAJORITY of democrats on the city council, who override the mayors vetoes, because he's not liberal enough for them... imagine that, a super majority of democrats, and still they can't fix the problems of their own city for 50 years...

Milwaukee official justifies riots as ‘a warning cry’ – meet black people’s demands, or else

Helluva of an elected official there....

Thanks Darkbane for reminding us all of how it actually works (and how it failed).

The unfortunate thing is that Democrats will never accept responsibility for their failures.

Well, apparently decades of Democrat 'help' has had it's predicted effect. From your link:

Milwaukee County is divided along racial and political lines, and the city is the most segregated in America. An old, racist joke among locals is that the city's 16th Street viaduct bridge is the longest structure in the world, linking "Africa to Europe." Basically, black people lived on the city's north side, and whites lived on the south side. The same holds true today, although Hispanics are now the majority in the south,

Steve Steve Steve... you're not supposed to use an image like that, you're supposed to use one from when he was 12 and never harmed anyone and had all the best things in life ahead of him... you're also not supposed to mention he was a felon, or the gun he had on him when he was shot (in the FRONT mind you), was stolen from the next county over, well I guess I can't blame you for saying that, as I said it... I guess we're both wrong today hey? shame on us... facts got in the way again...

Why do you think that would make it equal and better? More central planning, yeah that's the ticket.

Everyone has access to the same public school system, they go to the same schools who isn't getting an "equal education" and why not? And there is a teacher teaching students in New York city and there is another kid in Chicago how can he have the same teacher as the one in New York? What do you mean "same teacher".

It's a fine starting point, but I do not agree it should be changed.

Ah but your post intimated that they were currently in place. They are not. In addition there are numerous mechanisms for reporting discrimination, case law to support it, etc. What can be done has. Now we wait for it to come to level. Or you could push on the scale again, I'm sure that will help the market find balance. (Sarcasm).
That's an operation of the market, not racism. (Re: "gentrification"). It's called making money in real estate. As to "adjusting" the income of those living there: I'm pretty certain that's not how market economies work.
What they should do is sell their now greatly increased in value land to the developer and either a) move to the burbs or more likely b) to a part of that same ghetto maybe 4 or 5 blocks away that isn't up for "gentrification" for some time. Happens all the time in houston, I'd know I work in the real estate business (title insurance and law).

I have. I no longer have to. As stated I'm rather familiar with it, and marrying same and marrying into same.
Bikes don't go on sidewalks chief, they're vehicles they go in the road. You dont need a bike lane for it to be illegal to hit you with a car. Carpool and van pools do great for getting people to jobs. Which was my point.

Except again you're failing to reason it out: highways were built for good reason. Likewise, eminent domain is a thing for good reason. I get the feeling that what you'd rather they did is something that would've been far out of bounds, constitutionally speaking. Am I correct?

He's such an innocent young man, even with those neck tattoos and a loaded gun.

Yep, DB, you and I are slumming it today. That picture came from Reuters and they used it to confirm the mayor's statement that the kid did indeed have a gun with a large capacity magazine. Another thing they said was the cop who shot him was black.

Botswanna, Ehtiopia, Ghana, Mauritius and a couple others prove that wrong.

Heck Ethiopia has less crime than germany and despite it s having a lower GDP/pp, a citizen makes enough to spend. Like Swizz
