It has gone viral on the internet. Cumo Park school in Minn forced a 14 year old girl out of the swimming pool dripping wet to go outside because of a fire alarm. Everyone know from the news just how cold it is in Minn right now. Now imagine being force to be outside dripping wet with nothing on but a dripping wet swim suit. For most of that time the girl was NOT allowed to sit in a car because of RULES!!!!!! The girl of course got frost bite and has to take medicine for the pain in her feet. Do you liberals want to tell me again just how intelligent and wonderful union teachers are???? This incident just about scrapes the bottom of the barrel for stupidity and ignorance. The girls mother wants an appology from the school. IMO the family should sue for about $100,0000 and demand any teacher or administrator that didnt protect that girl should be fired and their teaching certificate be lifted for 10 years. This is just another really stupid act committed by "educators". Are they educated out of any common sense and logic?????
How did you arrive at that figure? Why not $40,000,000?? Afterall she was irreparably injured and no doubt suffered pyschologically and will be unable to function in society. LIfting the teacher's or administrators's teaching certificate for 10 years? Why not 20 or 25 years for this heinous crime against the child?

Teachers have been fired for far less offenses. How about an eye for an eye. Lets put all the teachers and administrators involved in a wet bathing suit, and stand them outside for 15 minutes at 0 degrees and see if they catch on as to what they did wrong. What I find appalling is the fact that almost every week we hear of "educators" doing something equally stupid. Note-----------------instead of giving me hell for posting this, show some concern for the 14 year old girl.

gamewell Yes I am anti union when it comes to teachers unions. They prevent school districts from getting rid of old useless teachers that shouldnt be teaching any more. Basically they dont give a damn about the kids. Just like in this case.
What is incredible is not how ignorant some teachers are but how docile students in that area have become. In places i know when a school authority is demanding something stupid they are told to (*)(*)(*)(*) off .

The student has a different version then the teacher. Give it time for the facts to come out before jumping to one side and calling the student a liar. She says she didnt decline, she was locked out from getting her clothes: Chose not to? BS, she can't break a lock. Why so quick to judge it as the students fault? The teachers kept their shoes on while kids have up their clothing for a friend? If it was your neighbors kids would you still be wearing your shoes? At least another teacher had the good sense to move her to a car. They screwed up, but she is fine. Mistakes happen but it was a mistake on their part for sure.

She got frost bite. Another teacher helped her. Kids came to her aid before the adults. Yeah, I would call that a screw up. Supermarkets get sued for negligence when customers slip on the messes they made. What did the other post say that was a lie? I didn't read it. The kid did just listen to the teacher and did something dumb. I think their post you quoted at least was spot on. At least arguable, nothing to call out at all, not even below par for here. Got anything more? When they found the locker locked up wouldnt you have checked to see if there was a fire before forcing them out into the cold? Wouldn't you as an adult offered your jacket and shoes to the child within minute 1 ? Count out 10 minutes for me in silence and see how long a time that is. Super long.

You forget that the union doesn't hire these so-called "morons"; administrators who don't vett the teachers properly do. The union has a legal obligation to represent them or they can be sued by the member. Fire alarm = life and death situation. Following the rules = some discomfort and a case of frostbite. What if they didn't follow the rules and the child perished as a result?
