It is such fun to see your reaction to the indisputable Sucess of Obamacare. Now you are beginning to see why the Republicans are backing off from their efforts to repeal it. They don't want to alienate everyone who has benefitted from the plan.

let's see......since obamacare has destroyed the entire insurance industry, there's nothing to go back to. Sounds like you absolutely love burning bridges.
We'll wait for another 6 months and see if you still have your subsidy

Who would you know if his insurance was real or not??? who the hell makes you the judge? If the kid claimed he was covered and it worked for him, who in the hell do you think you are forcing a different policy on him? something that wont work for him. You're demanding that he contribute without benefit, Guess what, he's screwed and the commies absolutely love this.
that's right, blame him...because he had his own insurance and wasn't being forced at gunpoint to support even more freeloaders.
But you love this new change, don't you?
Now you can have his money to pay for the (*)(*)(*)(*)ing deadbeats.

Obamacare Knocks Out The GOP As Enrollment Poised To Shatter 2015 Goal

    http://www.politicususa.com/2015/01/27/obamacare-knocks-gop-enrollment-poised-shatter-2015-goal.html

The latest good news for President Obama is that the Affordable Care Act is poised to shatter his administration’s enrollment goals for 2015.

The Department of Health and Human Services released the latest numbers:

Nationwide, 9.5 million consumers selected or were automatically reenrolled in quality, affordable health insurance coverage from the Health Insurance Marketplace through the second month of 2015 Open Enrollment, according to a report released today by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Of those, more than 7.1 million were in states using the HealthCare.gov platform and 2.4 million were in the 14 states (including Washington, D.C.) using their own Marketplace platforms. As the Feb. 15 deadline approaches, HHS encourages all eligible consumers to sign up for Marketplace coverage. Most will be eligible for financial assistance to lower the cost of monthly premiums.

Today’s report includes data for individuals who selected or were automatically reenrolled in coverage through Jan. 16 for the 37 states using the HealthCare.gov platform, and through Jan. 17 for the 12 states and Washington, D.C. using their own Marketplace platforms. Data for California is through Jan. 18. To have their coverage effectuated, consumers need to pay their first month’s health plan premium (today’s report does not include effectuated enrollment).

The good news about enrollment was part of a one-two punch that also included the CBO lowering the cost of the ACA by 20% due to a slowdown in the growth of healthcare costs. Meanwhile, Congressional Republicans are trying to keep the repeal charade going by voting again to repeal Obamacare next week. The disconnect between Republicans and reality has never been clearer. The Affordable Care Act is becoming a raging success. The law is doing exactly what it was intended to do. More people have access to healthcare, and the price of that healthcare is dropping.

President Obama is on a roll. His approval ratings are skyrocketing. The economy is expanding, and now healthcare is more accessible and affordable than ever before. Things are by no means perfect, but the country is moving in the right direction again. It is becoming impossible for Republicans to avoid the reality that Americans love the Affordable Care Act. The ACA will easily pass the administration’s targets for 2015 enrollment. The years of Republican fear-mongering are being proven wrong. The ACA hasn’t destroyed the health care system. It has granted tens of millions of Americans access to it.

Republicans don’t have an alternative. They don’t have a plan, and it is becoming clear that their irrational hatred of the ACA is out of step with the wants of most Americans.

ACA - SAVING LIVES AND MONEY EVERY DAY!

Really, and in other postings you claim Obamacare is making insurance companies rich. Care to make any attempt to document the destruction of the insurance industry.

Very simple really, if he has one of the phony insurance policies and gets sick and his insurance flakes out on him Myself and other taxpayers will end up footing the bill.

no, I said profit drove the market. with government controls, the prices will skyrocket while treatment gets reduced. That wasn't happening before bam bam took over the industry. You seem to think that government is the ultimate solutions to personal problems.
All this is a tax scheme. You will never get out of it what you think you will. At least on my private insurance, my treatments do not go before a a board who then chooses my treatments, not some snot nosed (*)(*)(*)(*)er in DC, my doctor and I decide. Not you, not Mr Truth, I determine what I get.
You guys think this is the answer today, but fail to look around the corner.
    Which is it today?
The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the one
    or
the needs of the one outweigh the needs of the many?

so you don't really know, personally, if his insurance was paid for by him, and what he got for it.... it ain't really none of your business anyway. so many on the tax dollar already, so your idea is what the hell, add everyone......tyranny. soft tyranny, but tyrant none the less
    more liberal thieving justification.
Who are you to tell the rest of us what we can have? What we can buy?

Republicans love to make up stories but notice how none ever come up with any PROOF that there claims have any validity.

    Still waiting for their "proof".

By the way, also still waiting for "proof" that I said anyone who disapproves of ACA is a racist. Will be waiting a LONG time for that to ever be produced here.

I heard an interesting first hand account of an Obamacare horror story yesterday.

Seems a guy whose hc insurance went up from $600 to $800 a month, has been bragging to all his friends how his expensive treatment for back pain is covered 100% by his new plan. He's had two series of 6 expensive shots, got a call from the doctors office saying, "Sorry, your insurance company has decided your treatments are NOT covered after all. You'll be receiving bills from the doctor and lab for approx $10K. Please pay in full before returning for more treatments. Sorry for any inconvenience. "

Happening every day. By 2016, a Democrat won't he able to win dog catcher in this country. Watch and see.

Since you heard this first hand mind telling us what shots he had for his back. Was it Cortisone shots, although twelve shots seems like way too many.

And you do realize if the story is true the problem is the insurance company not Obamacare unless of course you are advocating that Obamacare takes over the insurance business totally. ( single payer ) or writes even more detailed rules as to what is covered.

This type of thing happens all the time although probably will happen less inthe future now that the phony insurance policies are being eliminated. And if he did get prior approval from his insurance company prior to the shots he certainly has a legal case.

He could sue his doctor for fraud, which it is if he told the guy his insurance would pay for it without checking first, or the insurance company if it told the doctor it was covered and then changed their mind, both of which are illegal now, but were not before the ACA.

There are plenty of lawyers, or maybe even the local attorney general, who would take a case like that since there was obviously some shenanigans going on there.

Here is some truth: If you aren't exempt from having insurance, your penalty will be taken out of your "tax refund" by the IRS. IF you are eligible for a tax refund. So, if a taxpayer owes the penalty but isn't getting a refund, they will not pay the penalty. Discrimination if you ask me. And, if I would talk to my accountant and make sure I don't overpay so I won't be due a refund. Many people use overpayments as a "savings" account. Don't do that anymore.

when the penalty goes up, you will be better off to owe federal income tax when you file if you earned too much for assistance and couldn't afford premiums.

Plus, if you get a new job you will likely have to wait 90 days for your medical insurance to kick in. Hopefully, you only get a new job 1 a year because you will have to pay the penalty if you don't have insurance more than 3 months in 1 year. While those at or below poverty level are exempt from the penalty. Again, IMO discrimination against those that are working and earning slightly above or more the poverty level.

    please read this http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs...ppens-if-you-dont-pay-obamacares-tax-penalty/

It is very confusing as to whether or not an individual will have to pay a penalty for not having health insurance, how they are to report it if they aren't required to file a return, how they prove their insurance met hhs minimal essential benefits; and, what to do if you get a new job and have to wait 90 days for insurance and are let go prior to the end of the 90 days. There are many unanswered questions and even tax attorney's are finding it difficult to find the answers. Many may find they got subsidies when they weren't eligible, or got tax credits they weren't eligible for. Many applying through the Federal Exchange are told they earn too little for premium subsidies and to apply for their States Medicaid Insurance(if their State expanded Medicaid). It is uncertain as to what is available to them if their State didn't expand Medicaid. Many are eligible for assistance but still don't have the monthly disposable income to afford the premiums and so go without insurance and if they have an income tax refund coming the penalty for not having insurance will be deducted. While those in the same situation who do not have a refund coming will pay nothing.

Guess that's why, according to the CBO, that it will cost more than twice what was originally estimated and why the CBO is warning about unsustainable debt levels. It will go higher, guaranteed. Nothing is free no matter how much you lie about Obamacare.

The CBO was warning that increasing health care costs would bankrupt America long before the ACA. Both parties agreed something had to be done about healthcare but only one party was actually willing to do something.

And we are all still waiting for the new Republican controlled Congress to put forth and pass the Republican alternative to the ACA. But we are not holding our breath.

So then you would agree by doubling the cost of Obamacare is a good thing, right?

For a progressive that thinks the answer to everything is more government, less government would be considered no plan.

The CBO's been very clear that the pricetag of the ACA has been dropping year-over-year. They even include helpful graphics in their budget updates to make the point.

    to government it works differently.
One minute they'll claim that your insurance costs will go up 25% then come back and tell you that it is only going up 18%, thus they kept the costs down.
Ergo, they saved you money. a whole whopping 7%............
    Hegelian theory at work.
