    Travelers seeded multiple cases starting as early as mid-February, genomes show.

    Poor 'ol Trump. He can't catch a break. It seems his travel ban on China really didn't do much.

    New research indicates that the coronavirus began to circulate in the New York area by mid-February, weeks before the first confirmed case, and that travelers brought in the virus mainly from Europe, not Asia.

    So the virus now spreading from east to west came from Europe not China.

    Perhaps most of them would have come from China without the travel ban and the situation would have been even worse.

    A ban which affected only one country was useless where global travel exists

    In the World Trade Center terrorist attacks 2,606 Americans were killed. A total of 2,977 persons were killed all the various attacks on 9/11.

    Do to Trump’s incompetence and greed today’s death toll is 14,830 Americans dying a painful suffocating dead—about five 9/11 attacks.

    Despair is suffering without meaning.

    So what is being stated, is agreeing that countries should practice isolationist tactics to prevent international travel, in an effort to prevent the spread of contagions?

    If not, then why not?

    Rather, it means that the only argument for Trump's handling of this crisis has just come down.

    Hardly, since he restricted travel from Europe before this was known. He has been taking precautions based on facts of the day. Playing 'gotcha' with hindsight is simply disingenuous and reeks of desperation...

    It was pretty obvious considering how bad the virus hit the East coast and the fact that Italy and Iran got hit so hard so early.

    So much for Trump's "China travel ban"

    So the united states should have closed itself off from the rest of the international community, and engaged in isolationist tactics? No travel in or out of the country by anyone?

    BULL! The virus CAME from China, then spread to Europe.

    None of this means a damn thing. It's hindsight, only valuable for the future complete lockdown of New York (see Snake Plissken), and closing of the bathhouses like when they had less than 500 cases and the flight attendant with the GRIDS refused to stop going to the bathhouses and it took like a really long time, lots of screaming on Downey's show, and they said there was no reported case of dentists too...

    The next study could just as easily show that New Yorkers are nasty nose picking snot nosed hicks like right out of The Taking of Pelham One Two Three (see how he got caught).

    The Virus spreading across the Globe came from China you cant escape that simple fact.. Sure some people went from China to Europe and those same people might have have come here after or people infected from China to Europe came here. ... Its all moot..

    It.... Came... from... China.

    He PARTIALLY banned travel from China and NOWHERE else in the world ...for SIX WEEKS and then still exempted certain countries for no discernible reason.

    The people who were NOT banned in the "China Travel Ban" were not quarantined...were not monitored...were not checked or tested...

    It’s not incorrect at all.

    He conducted a travel ban that according to Dr.Fauci bought us much needed time, saving many lives in doing so. This is a fact that no matter how much you hate Trump, will NEVER go away.

    That is far more than democrats have ever done to help.

    In fact, Pelosi was more concerned with spreading the virus, WEEKS after Trump conducted the travel ban that has saved many lives.
