Wonderful. If that was to try to make me feel inferior, you failed. I have long lamented that starting in 1933 with FDR, this nation has been bewildered by a plethora of laws created by Democrats. I have plenty to complain about FDR including his reckless placing our Navy ships in harm at a very compact shallow port, to wit: Pearl Harbor. It was an excellent target for Japan and placed our navy a lot closer to Japan to accommodate them attacking us. Truman was a different cat. He used the A Bomb twice but I believe to this day when he had a chance to repeat this in the border area of North Korea, he failed and dismissed a truly great General. And I got close to Truman in CA when he was campaigning too. That war cost me an Uncle and to this day I blame Truman for shoving in troops that simply were not ready for war. My uncle was but they did not properly equip his men. Oh JFK is my first Democrat to get my vote. I was happy with the man but scared to death he would have us in war with the Soviets. I served him in his Army in Germany. I was there when he was killed in Dallas. A major complaint was he taunted the Soviets and used navy ships as a blockade. LBJ turned out to be a major screw merchant. I was pleased he quit. Coming home from the Army when the action in Vietnam was training them by our special forces, LBJ put us directly into the war with our own combat troops. YES, I was loyal to him and supported the Army in Vietnam. I made a major error by supporting young men who became target practice for the enemy. I decided to stop supporting the LBJ war in Vietnam. Carter. He soiled me on voting for Democrats. True i was shoved away from Democrats by earlier presidents, he truly kicked the door open so I bolted the party forever.
