Gave a message to the President: The age of B.S. is over. Calling out Trump's lies in public and in his face.

I used to be a big Pelosi supporter. She lost me when she gave Cheney and Bush a pass, when there was strong evidence of wrongdoing. Now she redeemed herself.

Schumer and Pelosi played ping-pong with Trump. Exposed his lies on his ridiculous "wall". They brought out his racism and xenophobia, and then drew a public confession from Trump of what everybody except his cult knew already: that he will be the only one responsible If the government shuts down.

And... in the background.... a lame Mike Pence sits by. Looking like the kid who doesn't know what's going on.

A masterful piece of theater. And clearly there's an appetite for it. Imagine, who now "owns" the obstruction? Nancy. Chuck. A more masterful example couldn't have been staged better. And the best part? The avarice of Pelosi and Schumer on full display. They won't be able to run away when later, the other shoe drops.

And let's just be super clear here. When a congress refuses the goals of the President, remember when democrats thought this was treason? Just hang on kids. This is going to be epic.

It’s great to the man who said that Mexico is going pay for wall petulantly tell Congress “If America doesn’t pay for the wall, I’ll shutdown the government.”

Both leftists repeatedly said they wanted to discuss the topic of border security away from the cameras, that they wished to negotiate in private. Why? Why not have all the sausage-making nonsense that our Fed.gov political elites engage in made pubic?

Why are so many liberals/progressives/socialists afraid of revealing their true policy beliefs in front of the American people?

The days of backroom, Chicago-style Democratic Party 'negotiating' is alive and well among the leftists who desire political power...

The left is no more playing 'hide and seek' with their policy beliefs than the right.

    Both parties backroom deal.

Run away from it? We just got forty more seats by obstructing the President's agenda. Hell, we learned this from the GOP. However much they talk about bipartisan and solution-based politics, Voters these days reward obstruction and the politics of tenacious and unyielding partisanship. There is no up-side to sincere negotiation with this amoral and wreckless clown. If the GOP controlled govt can't pass bills without Democratic support, its on them. Their agenda, their job to come up with the votes.

Pelosi and Schumer are right to show up for ' the show', and then completely ignore the man.

The essential lie Don told during the latest example of Kabuki theater was he is willing to shut down the government for border security. In truth, he is willing to shut down the government unless he gets his way on funding for the wall, the efficacy of which in terms of border security is dubious at best. Dems are fine with enhancing border security, just not by funding a wasteful project like the wall. Individual-1 believes the wall “it totally solves the problem” of illegal immigration.....which is.....of course.......absurd.

Get ready for two more years of dysfunction and chaos from the executive branch as Dems exert their newly gained authority to hold Don accountable for his lies.

I felt the same way about Pelosi on the subject of Bush and Cheney. I am actually very tired of these career politicians and the fact that the Democratic party became Republican-lite and abandoned the Progressive roots.

They should stick around to advise...the way the elders in Native American tribes do but they should pass the torch to the younger generation who are more apt and committed to actual Progressive ideas. These are ones that ignored the fact that the Bernie Sanders had the wind in his sails.

Not likely with this dumb President. They even got him to admit before cameras that he wanted a government shut down/ He handed all the cards on the negotiation table to democrats.

The other shoe is dropping now. And I don't see much eagerness on the part of Schumer or Pelosi to run away.

Oh.. you are so completely lost here. Remember the Hastert Rule? Because of it, Republicans can't pass anything. Nothing whatsoever.

Watch democrats pass bill after bill. One more popular than the last. And Republicans have two options. Either they block them, and we clearly see who obstructs, or pass them and we have sensible bills that are good for the people, and not just for the rich.

Once again I spit coffee all over my screen. This has to be sarcasm. It couldn't possibly be serious. Every sentence a master stroke of comedy. Thanks for the laugh.

You don't try out the rookies when you're in the playoffs. I agree that they need to step aside. Soon. But this is not that time.

Why would she? Every time Trump spoke he handed them more of their cards. Republicans were left with little power to negotiate. If any.... She had to say that for the sake of "decorum". But they was begging for Trump to keep going.

Dumb ad he is, even Trump understood this. It's the reason why he threw the journalists out.

It's fascinating...we all watched the same meeting, but each side sees it radically differently. From my vantage point, Trump looked outgunned. His ridiculous comment about North Dakota and Indiana - and the expression on his face when he said it - shows how obtuse he is. I'm sure folks on the other side saw it very differently...

Love the lefties constant need to litter every post with the words racism and Xenophobia. How smart you sound in doing so.. How did you miss adding Hitler into your rant?
Glad you thought well of Pelosi. to me she came off as an idiot who did not understand it takes both the house and senate to get a law through but I am sure I am alone in that thought.

Had Mike Pence said anything it just have pissed you off more so the expression "silence is golden" fits well here among the malcontent lefties that assured us Trump would be gone months if not years ago.

GOP congressman: A wall is the least effective way to secure the border

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/opin...87d6e6a3e7c_story.html?utm_term=.01820e836414

"I am hoping that our new secretary of homeland security is afforded significant latitude regarding the implementation of this order. I agree with Secretary John Kelly’s comments during his confirmation hearing that a wall does not solve our security problems. In fact, building a wall from sea to shining sea would be the most expensive and least effective way to secure the border."

I had the same problem. I was furious with her. Iraq was an illegal war. Since I live in CA, I decided use my writing talents -- I was a columnist at the time -- and I wrote her a detailed email ... twice. She didn't reply, then she blocked my emails. But, yeah, I liked the way she stood up to that idiot.

The two played Trump for a fool. Trump is too dumb to notice.

When asked by the USA TODAY Network whether they support the president’s initial $1.6 billion budget request to begin construction, only 69 of the 292 Republicans on Capitol Hill said "yes."

So, yeah, Trump, and Trump alone will be responsible for the shutdown. He is dumb enough to do it, too. Why? He doesn't give shyt.
