Where in the lungs is this “fluid”?

1. Pleural space?
2. Bronchioles?
   
3. Epithelial cells of the airways?
4. Alveoli?
5. Alveolar/capillary membrane?

It is blocking air from reaching the lung tissue interfaces where O2 is transferred from the air to the blood.

 

Who cares? The important point is that the Covid virus cases inflammation in the lungs resulting in reduced transfer of O2 to the blood. Death is by suffocation.

NO!! ARDS - Adult Respiratory Distress Syndrome something we have known about and battled since the Viet nam war where we called it “Da Nang Lung”. Covid fooled us because the effects were radiologically very similar to ARDS but the treatment was not.
The essential issue revolves around the Alveolar Capillary Membrane. OMG! This is like trying to explain how the Sun works to our board member scared that the Sun will run out of “fuel” in the next couple of years! You have some concepts but only some.
