Amazing how anti-white racism is so accepted these days that the average person doesn't even recognize it when they hear it. Can you imagine the reaction NBC would get if one of their anchors described a state as "too brown" or "too black"? She would have been fired the same day. She's a member of the tribe though, so she could probably get away with saying anything.

If that comment had been made about any other race, she would have been packing her bags minutes after. It's completely acceptable to make racial comments about whites, though.

 

What's even more amazing is that we still have to convince people there's a double standard and that this is clear racism.

 

If anyone from NBC had gone on the nightly news and said Harlem is too black to represent the rest of America, that person would no longer have a job at NBC.

The only thing that is amazing is that you and other righties are purposely ignoring the context of the quote in order to make it something that its not.

So you would be fine if instead she had said:

Why can the black race (ethnicity for you Nazis out there) never be mentioned but anyone can bash people of white skin? I have always tried to see us as people instead of by race but the left is making this more and more difficult, with the increase in "hate crime" against whites (even though the media says this cannot exist, it does), flash mobs, constant cries of racism against blacks and the constant rhetoric... Sigh
How does Iowa not represent America btw? While the white population is in steady decline we still represent 70%+, we are mostly evangelical and most of the country is rural.

Seems NBC got its facts wrong to make a point, usual...

Describing someone as evangelical and rural isn't an insult. You're associating the blacks of Detroit with Urban decay. Mitchell was associating the whites of Iowa as mostly religious and rural. You really don't see the difference?

 

California represents the country better than Iowa does.

That may be true, depending on the ratio of hispanics to whites in the country.

 

Blacks make up only about 3% of Iowa's population. Whites about 90%.

 

Iowa is 91% white, and the Hispanic population is 3%, and the black population is 2.6%

Compare that to the U.S. as a whole where 63% of the country is white, 16% of the country is Hispanic, 12.2% is Black, 4.7% is Asian, and 2% is Multiracial.
