You know what I always hear from liberals when someone posts a thread on this forum that may not portray non-whites in a great way? They always ask at some point, "what does skin pigmentation have to do with it?" Well now I must ask, what does skin pigmentation have to do with the people of Iowa selecting a good candidate? If race doesn't matter, as you always say, then why defend someone who claims Iowa is "too white"?

Good point, and again... the 'too White' Iowa chose Obama in both the caucuses and the presidential election, while some states with more racial diversity voted McCain.

Mitchell's point is moot, which is why her statement is bigoted.

Clearly a typo, but I'm sure you knew that and had nothing else to say.

Is that what she said? That they are too white to pick a good candidate? That's not what you quoted in your OP.

    Here it is again...

"It doesn't represent the rest of the country."

Do you feel that Iowa represents the rest of the US? Or maybe just the US you want, where over 90% of the population is white, evangelical Christians.

I'm not a Christian. There is no one state that represents the entire nation. People like Andrea Mitchell, and many other liberals are the first to say that race or skin color doesn't mean anything and the next day bring up race if it suits her needs.

And people like you, who are only interested in making race an issue when it is not, fail to inderstand context or willfully disregard it in order to make wildly inaccurate conclusions. Seems to me one reason so many are willing to neglect the fact that her comment was not about race would be because they aren't allowed to express their own overt racial intolerance.
