    The contributions were the same.

Why not do some homework on the real world experience in the three counties in TX and Chile.

Who pays corporate income taxes ?? Consumers do.

You have no idea how the government works.

Yeah, I do. We are getting screwed because we have no leverage over costs.

Corporations compete. They set a profit margin and reduce prices if their government imposed costs of production decrease.

The thread is about income taxes not all taxes.

And no, nothing I said was BS. I gave you facts and figures and a source. You may choose to hold an opinion, but you can’t choose your facts.

That's why payroll deductions were instituted -- to screw people without them being aware of it and to make them docile.

In a competitive market those corporations who do not lower prices lose market share. Corporations want to increase market share. That is their goal.

This rather bullish turn in the business cycle which has been going on for almost a decade now,is due to run it's course by 2020 but perhaps earlier depending on how interest rates and Trump's trade policies play out but it will end at some point. Of that even the most conservative economists are warning.

When the turnaround happens and Trump's tax cuts and wild military spending have a chance to percolate through the system it will be very interesting to watch the reaction in voters who have been subject to yet another huge transfer of wealth from the general public to the very richest Americans and to corporations.

We are talking over a trillion in new debt and that is just the start. The real economy has been running on debt for decades now. The bill is going to come due and it's going to be horrifying to working and middle class Americans when they finally see the con job that has been foisted on them by Trump and his cronies.

There are many ways to increase profits, but by far the easiest is to raise prices.
The company I worked for had one major competitor. IBM.
It didn't take long for us to find the point where reduced price didn't gain us any increase in profit. But we watched their pricing very carefully for their price increases and followed suit.
    Worked good.

More jobs for the middle class is good for America

Bringing back production from offshore is good for all Americans
