Stop whining, no one is forcing anything, keep your tv off and do not attend a game, as for the players on the field.......they do have an employer and if the do not like it they can go flip burgers, after all it is a private company.

No different than forcing the company you work for to own your personal message.

Not a fair comparison. Rosa was acting as an individual while these players were acting as representatives of the NFL. There is no shortage of media coverage for these players and it was not necessary to show disrespect.

It makes no difference to me as I have not watched a game of purchased an NFL product since.

You're not the "paying public." You're a consumer who wants to watch a private service. Duh.

You, me, and anyone else is free to protest the cause of our choosing. Doing it on your employers time, at your employers place of business, wearing your employers uniform on the other hand? Nope. That’s up to the employer, which in this case made a decision and rule change to deal with it.

She had just left work. What's your point? Are you saying the NFL can't hold players accountable for their actions outside of the stadium?

    Excellent post.

Let these misguided racist attention whores go whine on their own time and their own dime. Or better yet, clean up their own backyards before they b*tch about anyone else's.

I've asked several times how these protests are racist and I've yet to get a reasonable answer.

Oh would you like me to destroy your analogy then?

    Then lets.

What bus line was Rosa Parks employed by and who was paying her to ride the bus.

Did you not read what I replied to? If they are forced to stand they will find a different way to protest. Some have already used the Black power salute. I'm sure some will continue.

It's not degenerate to kneel for the flag. Your obstinate and absurd partisanship is duly noted.

    Sickening.

I read it, I got what you were saying and I fail to see how them finding an alternate means of protest is bad.

Because it's mostly black players doing it?? I assume that's going to be the standard answer...

I agree with somebody who said Black Power salute... so you now have players standing for the anthem?... I can think of 10 other standing protests if they want to continue...

But, I also have no huge issue with the NFL trying to make this a non-issue, as long as it doesn't violate the CBA in some way...

NFL EONS away... NHL TONITE, people!

So she was not working at the time... Big difference.. Of course as NFL players they are public figures and represent the teams pretty much constantly.

Its why when they are arrested the news always mentions what team they play for.

They are still protesting on company time, in company uniforms, and on company property. Getting around the new rule defeats the purpose of the rule. Rule or no rule matters not to me. I haven't watched more than a quarter of a game in the past three years.

Silly me, I thought NFL players were paid to play football, not stand for the anthem.

Oh you'd like to veer away from Ms. Parks. Ok.

Are they in uniform when the anthem is played?

Oh so a group of oppressed majority black millionaire players in the NFL are teaching us about oppression then.
