Newt proved once again he is the best one to debate Obuma. He hit hard even got one vs the media. Huntsman is an idiot and Ron Paul was a loon as usual. So why is it this site is flooded with Ron Paul fanatics? They can't see that Ron Paul got his ass handed to him. He opens his mouth and you want to go "oh God not this (*)(*)(*)(*) again."
There certainly seems to be a disproportionate number of Paul supporters in here. Having said that, there is no doubt Gingrich is the king when it comes to debates. But does that mean he would make ma good president? Between he and Owebama who is taller? The taller man wins 2/3 of the time.
Newt got called a chicken hawk on live national television by a man who was in the military. He didn't win anything. He's finished.
Debates are all about what you say, not how you say it, or the comprehensibility and pragmatism of your statements. Huntsman does not debate like a politician, so of course he seems inept. He debates like an ambassador. The problem for the Republican Party is that a principled yet intelligent, pragmatic, and realistic individual that is willing to compromise is the antithesis of what Conservatives are looking for. The "Silent Majority" probably considers Huntsman a more credible candidate than Gingrich.
They are predominantly disaffecteds or independents. They represent people like my parents, my sister, and my grandmother. They are largely uninformed on the issues, but understand who sounds reasonable.
Newts father was serving and he had a newborn child which made him ineligible for the draft. Not Newts fault. Nice try bub.
I think Newt would do well against Obama in a debate and he would even pronounce his name correctly. However I agree with others that he got owned tonight on his chicken (*)(*)(*)(*) past. He avoided the draft when the country asked him for his service like a chicken and now wants to send our children to die for what he was to chicken to do himself. CHICKEN HAWK lol

Newt won..in what world ? Newt Gingrich is a person who wants to debate.That's what a Speaker of the House does. But leading a Nation is not about debates.It is about honesty.. Principles and NON corruption.Pretending to be a strong smart politician that gets out Flanked in every state does not speak well for him going forward. His old "I did it way back then" doesn't attack Obama NOW well.You will be kissing the younger vote goodbye as well as older Reagan Democrats that remember how he left office. He is everything that went WRONG with the great Contract with America. Corruption...greed..ethics out the window..bitter partisan politics. His debate skill cannot change that history.
Newt got destroyed. Ron Paul won in a landslide. Huntsman did okay on a couple of issues. Romney is an untrustworthy flip-flopper and the rest are irrelevant.

let's see here. The media was anti-vietnam. Disrespected our military at every turn. Influenced our politicians and lied to the American people about the situation in VietNam. The media is a corrupt institution. However it is not the media that ran from service when other patriots did not. Even the media has folks on the ground during the war. Uhm,... Not sure if we looked to the same debate, since I thought it was pretty obvious that Mr. Gingrich did not that great. Even his "slur" towards the media seemed pretty desperate for sure. I'm very sad to say that Mr. Hunstman didn't that good either... At large; I thought this wasn't that great of a debate anyways...
Newt may can debate President Obama but he would not beat the President in a general election simply because he has too much baggage and he's negative. Gingrich/Santorum/Perry are your worst options vs President Obama.
how you say what you say does come into play. If you look nervous and sound nervous you won't get elected
ALL the candidates except Paul sounded like Good Republicans. Which is why Santorum said a few times to Paul,about his being a Libertarian POV.
