Now that the Democrats will allow him to give it, will you watch Trump's State of the Union speech?

A simple, unbiased question....

Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, has relented after Trump agreed to reopen the government, without funding for new border security initiatives he had demanded. He will now be permitted by the Speaker to give his State of the Union speech in the House of Representatives, as all presidents have done for many decades.

Will you watch it, or not? Your comments?

 

Heard it all before. And he will change it again anyway. Why bother?

 

Sure, I want to watch Botox Nan, suck on her dentures (or probably implants, she's obscenely rich, after all) Almost as much as I want to hear what our President, has to say. Popcorn...

Every time I see that POS on television or online, I immediately put on mute or change the channel. Can't stand listening or seeing that traitor with his endless lies and pretensions.

Will he tell us how the border wall turned into an emergency two years after he was elected

Or perhaps the guy who split up families will bemoan the humanitarian crisis on the border

Or maybe he will explain how not paying people who still have to come to work is a government shutdiwn? Especially when everone knows they will be paid later.... what kinda shutdown is that?

Probably he will brag about how he has done more than any other us president.

Or maybe he will tell us his golf handicap (not counting mulligans)

Or maybe he will prove his business acumen by bragging about the improved profitability of trump org despite him having to devote some time to being president

 

I have zero respect for this man. I won't gain any listening to this effort to manipulate the truth and his base. He's an attention whore and total garbage.

 

I wish Trump had declined the invitation to the house and chosen another location, but I'll listen.

 

Are you sure it's not a doctored video like the recent one where the west coast FOX affiliates thought it would be funny to doctor his oval office address? Made him very orange, exaggerated his lip size and the amount of time he spent when he licked his lips. They were let go for it, but this is my favorite! Not only did he not stutter, he was speechless!

I voted for Trump, and if this were November 2016, I vote for him again. That said, I won't watch a State of the Union Address staged under the circumstances that it will be delivered this year.

IMHO, the "state of the union" is GUT-BUCKET AWFUL, and I don't want anybody trying to give me a sugar-pill suppository to convince me of some fairyland 'state of reality' based on irrelevant, rationalized nonsense.

Truth? As much as it galls me to have to say it, Trump should give some serious consideration to resigning now... Chuck and Nancy broke him!

Or maybe he will re-emphasize how Democrats, and the Cult of Leftness have been failures when it comes to securing the border, and immigration.

He should have a montage of video clips with the Demos talking about Walls, Fences, Undocumented workers, ending it with saying. Always bring a donkey to a party. As there is never enough ass to go around.

 

More interested to see how the anti-US New Democratic Party members conduct themselves during the speech.

 

I'm more interested in seeing how the Republicans respond. Usually they rally, hard and loud, behind their leader...so will they be hypocritical and loudly support their president, or will they politely clap?

SOTU is an ego fest for whomever is POTUS, and a cheerleading opportunity for the party in power. No one learns anything new, unless they don't pay attention to political news throughout the year.

 

So we have the same objective, but opposite interests.

I especially liked last years SOTU when the NDP membership sat on their hands when mention of record employment for Black and Latino's was mentioned. Kind of shows where they are coming from. Apparently nothing worse to NDP legislators, than a pandered to group growing less dependent on the handouts they addict them with.

I've never watched one in my entire life, I don't plan on starting now. In fact, I can't remember the last presidential speech I watched. I'll get the gist of what was said the next morning, the highlights. I'll bet there will be more attention to who claps and stands, who sits on their butts and possibly who falls asleep than what is being said by Trump.

Until President Wilson the SOTU, then called the Annual address was given to congress in writing. Wilson was the first to give it orally. Then the SOTU fluxuated between orally and written until FDR which gave all of his orally. Probably because they could be carried on the radio. It's been orally ever since. Boring. I rather watch grass grow.

 

I can sympathize... I used to feel the very same way every time Idiot Obama opened his mouth.

BUT, I used to force myself to listen carefully to him when he spoke, so that I could understand more clearly the latest manipulations Obama's 'handlers' were implementing in various policies. Obama, as I've noted many times, was nothing but a 'hand-puppet' and stooge for the Federal Reserve System. He was a 'poster-boy' for their propped-up 'Welfare State', artfully used to keep the 'cattle in the pen' while it 'rescued' those it thought were "too big to fail". (Oh, BTW, Idiot "W" Bush was really not any better....)

Thus, by reading between the lines, you could see what Obama's puppet-masters were really doing, and possibly what they were going to launch on us next.... "Information is power" -- even if you have to bulldoze your way through a logjam of lies to find it!
