But without guns the first invaders would never had been able to massacre the native Indians and steal this beautiful country from them. So America owes it's existence to guns, why do you want to take them away now?
Perhaps I went from deaths to victims is because that is what the thread is about! If you want to disagree with the 1776 victims then show your reasons.
No, they say not official. The figures could even by higher! Even in this thread, one poster on "your" side has suggested under reporting of shootings.
No we have the same islamo-nazi terror trying to destroy the world, and Bush kept us safe after the awakening of 9/11, now that has evaporated after electing the most inept lying liberal loon in the history of America. That same insane liberal mentality is what got France attacked, and it will continue across Europe.
Hey, I'm no gun owner, but I've always been a supporter of the 2nd Amendment and legal ownership of guns for law-abiding citizens. Anyways, it always seems Liberals want to go to town whenever the horror of one these mass shootings make the 24 hour/daily news. Yet you never hear a peep from them (or Obama) when the daily crimes that occur in wonderful Chicago or Cleveland or New York or...you name it. All those shootings and killings that take place - using illegal weapons in criminal hands - and does anything ever come out of the mouths from the Left while all that happens?
You guys are squabbling about the details. However, does it really matter whether there is one mass shooting per day, per two days, or per three days? The matter of fact is that there are way too many mass shootings in the US, occurring at a frequency much higher than in the rest of the civilized world. The fact that the US also has the highest gun density maybe coincidental, but I bet it is not. Of course, the NRA having managed to ban federal funding for gun-violence related research doesn't help to get real data on the issue.
Pointing out blatant falsehoods is now "squabbling over the details"? Amusing to say the least. Throw in another falsehood at the end of the post for bonus Progressive points? Is Soros going to send you a gift card or something? http://news.investors.com/ibd-edito...olence-study-goes-against-media-narrative.htm Seems research was done..
One mass shooting a day after 7 years of the Obama administration. It wasn't like this before he took office.
So, do you think that the number of shootings were lower ? If so, there is a list, so which in the list of the gun shot injuries/deaths were lies and did not take place.
And yet there is not one mass shooting a day. Trust the FBI's numbers or some made up gibberish... Up to you. - - - Updated - - - You are free to look at the information provided by the FBI.
The figures in the OP are contained in the link given in the OP. So you could look at that while I look at the FBI information that you are about to give me.................
Here's some research for you. The rate has tripled under Obama. Rate of Mass Shootings Has Tripled Since 2011, Harvard Research Shows http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2014/10/mass-shootings-increasing-harvard-research
Yes from unconfirmed reports. I am not here to spoon fed you information. The article itself says they are not confirmed. Aka they are worthless.
` You hit the nail on the head. MOD EDIT - Rule 3 NRA/GOP has been blocking funding for the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) from conducting research on gun violence, under the moronic pretext that such research will lead to nation-wide gun confiscation. Hours before San Bernardino shooting, doctors urged Congress to lift funding ban on gun violence research
The US averages 22.3 gun-related murders a day. 0.44 per day per state. That's TOTAL murders, not just mass shootings. 99.9999927% of the guns in the US were NOT used to murder someone today.
Of course that statistic far out measures those of the shooting deaths. (Was that 480 yearly total I saw in this thread?) The one you provided would equal to more than 46,000 per year! From drugs! Why is the Left not screaming about that, why is not making the news? After your post, I put the same thought into alcohol deaths. Check out these statistics and then wonder where the government, politicians, and the media's brain really is sometimes. http://www.cdc.gov/features/alcohol-deaths/ Drinking too much can harm your health. One in 10 deaths among working-age adults aged 20–64 years are due to excessive alcohol use. Excessive alcohol use is a leading cause of preventable death. This dangerous behavior accounted for approximately 88,000 deaths per year from 2006–2010, and accounted for 1 in 10 deaths among working-age adults aged 20–64 years. Excessive alcohol use shortened the lives of those who died by about 30 years.
