    that's a stupid definition of freedom and that happens in repressive societies too. and in repressive societies the government is often doing the killing

    I guess you have never figured out that threats of punishment don't deter people who murder children. Your goal of disarming honest people make it worse

    well we added 60 million more guns in the last few years and well over 100 million since 1990 and yet the overall rates of violent crime have come way down. I really don't care what foreigners think about our freedoms and I think deep down, the complaints are generated by envy

    Truth hurts?

    It is impossible for a free society to prevent every act of violence, so there will always be some level of violence.
    If the society is large enough - like ours - some of those unpreventable acts of violence will include shooting kids in a school.
    Nothing you can do about it.
