Overzealous Texas cop runs wild at pool party

after they repeatedly was told to leave told to disperse but of coarse you will continue to ignore every dam post on this thread that is counter to your cop hating narrative
there has been a half a dozen post made statements by the adults at the pool and neighbors that explain exactly what went on how they jumped fences, destruction to property, assaulting security guards, assaulting a mother walking her kids to the car go ahead keep ignoring them. keep acting the fool

Stereotypes definitely exist for a reason, but that doesn't make them not racist. Stereotyping based on race is racism. Stereotyping based on sex is sexism. Stereotyping based on socioeconomic class is classicism.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a nice white guy from Canada, and when I go on trips I have to endure every variation of 'it's pretty cold eh' one can think of.

I think where we differ is that I don't see it as a false narrative. I'm sure for some of those people it may have been overblown, and maybe for some under...blown(? not sure the opposite of overblown), but their is an undeniable reality that exists today of police officers abusing their authority. Until cops are held to the same standards as civilians, then their critics will always have a point.

This was not a violent scene that the cops needed to get under control. It may have been prior to this video. But everything seemed to be under control. Dozens of people were milling about. The cop singled that girl out for her speech. That is the impression I get. Everyone else was allowed to mill about and do pretty much what they wanted. Including a white guy that is standing proudly over the blacks on the ground throughout the vid.

 

If you had a miniscule amount of intelligence and bothered to read what is posted you might just understand these were not "innocent tweeners".

The girl was mouthing off. He told her several times that if she didn't quit talking back then she'd get in more trouble.

Can't you just be happy that nobody was hurt or shot?

 

The officer, Eric Casebolt, went after several kids -- all of them black. 'Nuff sed.

They had NO DUTY to "leave". It was their right to stay and wait for one f-ing smart and calm cop to ask them a few simple questions in a respectful manner.

Making non racist issues racist is the biggest problem. You'll have to stop that before America can start putting racism in the past.

 

And "mouthing off" by a 14 year old is now illegal, and warrants a face in the dirt? No, we have free speech. Her speech was not interfering with the cop's ability to do his job (whatever that may have been). Dozens of people were using their free speech in the vid. Why did the cop single out this girl? She was doing the same thing as everyone else.

The cop was not clear at all what he wanted. He was telling some people to leave, while allowing some to just mill about, including the girl he manhandled. He allowed her to walk around for a bit, and said nothing. It wasn't until she said something he didn't like that the officer decided to tackle her. Just like when I was about 16, and the cops had us on our porch all cuffed, and my 15 year old friend said something about one of their moms, and he got a nightstick to the back of the knee, forcing him face first off the porch into my lawn.

Cops use violence against people for speech. It is a problem in this country that needs to be fixed.

 

Because the same people that told him voting against obama was racist told him so.

 

Meh, now for the reason the cops were there in the first place.

Watch the video. Other than a prior fight, it looked very peaceful until the keystone cop arrived and charged after every black kid he could -- literally falling over himself in the process.

the scene remained a problem as along as the crowd was still there the crowd had already demonstrated the willingness for violence for the fights assaults and destruction of property before the police was able to show up. they needed to disperse the violent prone crowd they repeatedly told the kids to leave to go home and those kids repeatedly ignore the order and that is why they was taken down and told to remain down
so should the cops let the violent prone crowd remain like you are suggesting?

There was a fight at a party. How often do police show up when there's a fight at a party? I guess it depends if it's an affluent neighborhood and the kids are black.

I've been to many parties where there was a fight and no cops showed up, but most of the people at the party were white... my whiteness reduces my criminal liability.
