He ADMITTED that his copy of the Bible...."had errors"?!?!?

    - - - Updated - - -

The charge that Barabbas was called a "rapist" in the Bible....was a lie.

You care NOTHING about the "truth" of the Bible, WR. You care more about yourself.

No it doesn't, but anyone can get a good estimate of the approximate number. And that is about 2m.
603,550 men of the age 20 + (who were able to go to war). Then add wives, men under 20 and children. That is the Hebrews only, AND DOES NOT INCLUDE THE LEVITES who were not to fight, nor the Kenites and any others who tagged along.

Interesting. BUT your favourite website misses the whole point. The Egypt that we know today is crucially different from the Egypt at the supposed time of the Exodus. Much of the land then was covered by lakes and canals full of weeds. Lakes and canals deep enough to accommodate the Biblical story of the Exodus. Over the millenia, and particularly with the digging of the Suez Canal and the damming of the Nile, Egypt is entirely different to 3500 years ago. There was also a large lake called Ballah? from what I can remember. Full of reeds. This is now dried up.
The Gulf of Suez also extended further north - how far has not yet been discovered - and the Med. Sea coast came further south into the delta.

Perhaps your favourite website should take everything into their considerations.

It was not impossible it the past, it happened once in the history of the earth during the days of Noah but yes now it would be impossible because God promised us He will never again flood the entire earth to punish the wicked.

We read in Scripture, "Then God told Noah and his sons, “I hereby confirm my covenant with you and your descendants, and with all the animals that were on the boat with you—the birds, the livestock, and all the wild animals—every living creature on earth. Yes, I am confirming my covenant with you. Never again will floodwaters kill all living creatures; never again will a flood destroy the earth.”---Genesis 9:8-11 NLT

However in the "end times" God will use fire to punish all the wicked for their sins, for not believing in Him, for not accepting Jesus Christ as their Lord Savior.

We read in Scripture, "And I saw a great white throne and the one sitting on it. The earth and sky fled from his presence, but they found no place to hide. I saw the dead, both great and small, standing before God’s throne. And the books were opened, including the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to what they had done, as recorded in the books. The sea gave up its dead, and death and the grave gave up their dead. And all were judged according to their deeds. Then death and the grave were thrown into the lake of fire. This lake of fire is the second death. And anyone whose name was not found recorded in the Book of Life was thrown into the lake of fire."---Revelation 20:11-15 NLT

    Daniel 7

Much of Revelation is taken from the Tanakh and adapted. Not surprising if the book of Revelation was written by a Jew.

except that it's not even a 'trick', because a trick is usually something which will actually deceive people. this little gem is about as
tricky as a 4 year old with frosting on their on the face claiming they didn't eat the last slice of cake.

The Bible says 600,000 able bodied men and doesn't count wives, children, elderly parents.. Its actually ridiculous.. The whole population of Egypt was around 4 million people.. You'd think the Egyptians would have noticed if HALF their population up and left.

and yet it never works that way. therefore their claims that it was the CLAIMS (ie, bible) which caused them to believe is patently untrue. they're hardly likely to admit that they believe for a range of very ordinary (and none especially noble) personal reasons. indoctrination, vanity, fear of death, etc etc. whatever propels you to the place is the key to it all - because it immediately renders your preferred superstition entirely human, since the source of your believe is 'anything but god/bible'. Once you're there it's just a matter of adapting your thoughts to 'allow' such stuff to seem reasonable.

I love the fact that they didn't notice. One of the great comedic moments of the bible :D

Yes, that's true they all were afraid but all this was before the resurrection. But how things changed later on when they saw the risen Christ, they weren't afraid of death anymore seeing for themselves their Master had risen from the dead after 3 days. That event right there convinced all of them once and for all that Jesus was indeed the Son of God!

Not true. Scripture tells us, "After Jesus rose from the dead early on Sunday morning, the first person who saw him was Mary Magdalene, the woman from whom he had cast out seven demons. She went to the disciples, who were grieving and weeping, and told them what had happened. But when she told them that Jesus was alive and she had seen him, they didn’t believe her.
Afterward he appeared in a different form to two of his followers who were walking from Jerusalem into the country. They rushed back to tell the others, but no one believed them.

Still later he appeared to the eleven disciples as they were eating together. He rebuked them for their stubborn unbelief because they refused to believe those who had seen him after he had been raised from the dead.

And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone. Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned. These miraculous signs will accompany those who believe: They will cast out demons in my name, and they will speak in new languages. They will be able to handle snakes with safety, and if they drink anything poisonous, it won’t hurt them. They will be able to place their hands on the sick, and they will be healed.”---Mark 16:9-18 NLT

Because he wasn't there to see for himself as a witness, let's not forget Paul was not one of the twelve disciples, if fact Paul was persecuting the early Christians because of his disbelief in this new religion.

Well he saw Christ in a vision that is how he got converted in becoming a Christian but tell me is there anywhere the Apostle Paul tells us in Scripture he didn't believe in the physical resurrection of Christ?...nope!

Obviously you're not understanding the passage. Here let me help you to understand it better.

In those awful moments, Jesus was expressing His feelings of abandonment as God placed the sins of the world on Him – and because of that had to “turn away” from Jesus. As Jesus was feeling that weight of sin, He was experiencing separation from God for the only time in all of eternity. It was at this time that 2 Corinthians 5:21 occurred, “God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.” Jesus became sin for us, so He felt the loneliness and abandonment that sin always produces, except that in His case, it was not His sin – it was ours.

Not true. Even though the Bible never records Jesus saying the precise words, "I am God." it doesn't mean that He did not proclaim that He is God.

Let's take a look at some of the quotes in Scripture from Jesus:

"The Father and I are one."---John 10:30 NLT

That utterance by Jesus was a claim by Him to be God. Now let's go back to Scripture and see how the people reacted after hearing Jesus speak those words:

"Once again the people picked up stones to kill him. Jesus said, "At my Father’s direction I have done many good works. For which one are you going to stone me?"

They replied, "We’re stoning you not for any good work, but for blasphemy! You, a mere man, claim to be God."---John 10:31-33 NLT

The Jews understood exactly what Jesus was claiming—deity. When Jesus declared, "I and the Father are one," He was saying that He and the Father are of one nature and essence.

Here is another quote from Jesus:

Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, before Abraham was even born, I am!" At that point they picked up stones to throw at him. But Jesus was hidden from them and left the Temple.---John 8:58-59 NLT

There are a few more passages from Scripture that confirms Jesus was God but I'm sure you're getting the picture by now but if not...well it's because of your stubborn denial and your misunderstanding of Scripture but most of all it's because you're an unbeliever.

Lastly, the most important reason that Jesus has to be God is that, if He is not God, His death would not have been sufficient to pay the penalty for the sins of the world.

Scripture tells us, "He himself is the sacrifice that atones for our sins—and not only our sins but the sins of all the world."---1 John 2:2 NLT

If Jesus wasn't God then He would be a created being who could not pay the infinite penalty required for sin against an infinite God.

Only God could pay such an infinite penalty. Only God could take on the sins of the world, die, and be resurrected, proving His victory over sin and death.

Post 727: Wanren: When Pontius Pilate presented to the crowd two men Jesus Christ a Holy man and Barabas a criminal, rapist, murderer to chose whom they want him to set free the crowd chose Barabas to be set free and chose Jesus Christ to be crucified. The question now is which crowd to you belong to the crowd for Barabas or for Jesus Christ?

Where in the Bible that said Barabbas was a rapist? Where in my post that I claim that the Bible said Barabbas was rapist??? No where.
Very interesting indeed the lie, distortions is very clear to claim that I claim that the Bible said Barabbas was a rapist.

Your hypothesis is very fascinating in fact it proves that Noah separated himself from the mainstream Sumerian religion and it was due to him receiving God’s revelation and the refusal of the people to listen because the other gods are so much in control of the world at that time that Noah and his family were left on their own to save themselves from the upcoming flooding those gods rejected the True God just like the people rejected Noah’s warning.

The Sumerian story that you just presented is probably the reason why God finally intervened because according to you the other gods which I believe are actually the fallen angels have corrupted the world they wage wars among themselves and using human as their pawns to kill and do all sorts of evilness to pleased their gods.

What the Sumerian gods were doing in Sumeria or Mesopotamia region is also what other regions are experiencing in India, China, America, Africa religion in those continents have similarities with each other with many gods and goddesses all waging wars against each other, some good gods and some bad and evil gods and humans are pawns.

Christianity would be different from all of those religions because it would be based on reality not fiction or myth. There exist no evidences of any existing remains or factual history of any of those gods except for some artifacts, monuments, figurines, images, and stories. If we are to accept those discovered figurines of gods and goddesses as facts that they existed then the question we need to answer is what happened to them just like the dinosaurs they all suddenly disappeared?

Christianity on the other hand has a well recorded factual history especially from the coming of Jesus Christ everything thereafter about Christianity is historical and factual. If Jesus Christ had not risen or if his enemies and detractors were able to produce the dead body of Christ then probably your hypothesis would hold true and Christianity would not even have existed at all.

Did I wrote according to the Bible? No
I wrote Barabbas was a rapist am I not entitled to my opinion? yes I am entitle to my opinion and I am ok in saying that Barabbas was a rapist just like you and many anti Christians are entitle to claim that Jesus is not the Messiah. So far all you and your group have been posting are lies that I claim the Bible said Barabbas was a rapist "your words not mine".

So you are quite happy to accept Jesus was a Holy Man because the Bible says so and yet in the same sentence you quote that Barabbas was a rapist though the Bible doesn't say so. You can't have it both ways. You have added to the Bible something that isn't there.

Did the Bible say Jesus is a Holy Man or the Messiah, the Son of God? The Bible said Jesus is the Messiah and the Son of God. You continue to lie about my post.
I claim Barabbas is also a rapist yes and I man up on what I post while you continue to lie about what I post with your insistent that the Bible said Barabbas was a rapist.
I always have it one way that is why I am very clear who Barabbas was and who Jesus Christ is and what the Pharisees did but most of all the historicity of the Bible. You can't escape the truth.

If you want to talk about scriptures than why do you keep posting so many of your own opinion. Scripture is very clear Genesis 6:5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. No mention that God killed or punished the innocent or the babies.

    Genesis 1:
25 And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Scripture very clear humans were created in the image of God not apes. Every living things created according to their own kind why then must you and many like you insist that human evolved from apes? Or is it only your opinion that matters and ours does not? As trevorw said you can't have it both ways.

And I agree NOWHERE in scripture that calls Barabbas a rapist that claim is only coming from GC and like him. My post is very clear no where did I said "according to the Bible".

Where does scripture say that Barabbas was a murderer?

Meanwhile, according to the mythos babies were slaughtered along with adults in great numbers for "sinful man". Seems like every epic begins with the killing of infants.. and then there's the claim that 93 million Jewish babies in the tiny hilltop town of Bethar were rolled in Torah scrolls and burned by the Romans.
