Good points. First off......it was a private conversation I believe in a café. So....picture yourself having a couple of beers with the guys after work on Friday and someone cracks a "not-so-nice" crude joke about women? Or maybe even racial? Then you or your friend should lose their job.....because some busy-body turned you in to the "speech police?" It's starting to sound a lot like "1984."

BTW, black rap stars put it in their so-called music and don't suffer ANY consequences whatsoever. The late Sen Robert KKK Byrd in 1998 said the "n" word on national tv twice....and suffered no consequences whatsoever. Harry Reid and Joe Biden BOTH used the word "negro" in reference to Obama back in 2008. What happened to them???? Oh yeah......Obama named one to be his VP and the other is Senate Majority Leader. So.....not a thing happened to either of them as far as their jobs go. And don't give me that crapola about how you think blacks and white Democrats can say. There is no such thing as a word being allowed for some....and not for others. I personally don't use that word....and I raised my son not to use that word. But this political correctness that is turning people in......taking their businesses away from them, getting them fired, and/or threatening them has gotten out-of-hand. And I blame the prez, his wife, and the AG for taking race relations back decades. Shame on them all.

Sheriffs don't "represent" the people; they police them. Look at his record of how he treats the blacks in his area. That would be a far better way to prove he's a racist (or not) that his using the "n" word. Besides....since when does someone's views get them to lose their jobs? Or a use of a word? The guy was a public official. The public didn't like his speech. He was forced to resign by that public, not by an amorphous mob of PC liberals but by the public he represents in his community. I thought true patriots wanted public officials to be accountable to the public they serve. The guy is entirely free to hate black people in general, and his President in particular, as a private citizen. No rights violated or freedom crushed. Look their rights aren't being revoked or even tampered with. They still can say whatever the hell they want. Them losing their job isn't rights being revoked. Nobody has the right to a job.
