So if you knew someone was raping children, you wouldn't report it? Nobody has said anything about any kind of reporting being acceptable, this is unconditional hatred of any and all "snitches". You're just promoting free reign for criminals.

So what is the litmus test on when to snitch and when not to snitch? If I see someone dumping trash along the highway? Or someone breaking into a house? Or a kid playing hooky from school? Seems to me you can't have it both ways.

 

No, we're just talking generically about "snitches". None of the people expressing hatred for them put any condition on what the "snitching" is about. Obviously the haters have conditions in mind but that'll generally along the lines of "Anything I don't want to get caught doing" and, significantly, different for each of them.

Or look at it this way; Why isn't the person leaking the details a "snitch" too?

Yet another example of why this pandemic caught us at the worst possible moment in our history. Not only of the most incompetent administration in our history, but in the hands of the most ignorant on the right: Those who still don't understand what a pandemic is.

Listen...and at least try to understand this: Those who violate stay at-home orders are not like somebody smoking pot in their own backyard and whose neighbor calls the cops on them. They are the ones spreading the virus, causing more infections and more death, and extending the time it will take to get out of this crisis. It's not just their own life they're putting at risk. It's everybody's life, and everybody's future. Just like those idiots who go out protesting with guns. They need to be treated like the criminals that they are.

Anybody reporting violations is protecting their own and their family's life that those creeps are putting in danger!

 

Joseph Stalin and Mao Tse Tung would both be proud of today's Dem Party. Informing on your neighbors and family members is fun for the whole . . . well, I guess not for the whole famlily. Meh . . . but you cannot create a police state without cracking apart the rights of a few million people first. Nobody ever said that creating a leftist Utopia was going to be easy . . . no wait, they did say that.

 

You can take the above response and with very few modifications plug it into just about any thread in this forum for which you have no arguments against. It's just the generic pre-canned "Democrats are all commies" response that the right has used for decades. Now you can just download a dozen of them from wingnut media and it doesn't require much intellectual effort to "customize" it to something vaguely resembling whatever you are responding to, while not addressing it.

Oh... and in case you're wondering why Hitler is not on that pre-canned Fox-echo-Chamber template... that's because they are very careful not to piss-off any of their strategic allies.
