What exactly does that mean? Are they allocating more money to tear down roads built through poor minority areas to instead build them through rich white areas?

    1) And if the Govt assessor comes back with a price UNDER the market value (easily verified by you know ... checking the market), you have a case. In many places, Govt assessing value would be a conflict of interests so an external private sector agency is used, and owners are encouraged to seek out their own valuation - which thus meets the three quotes requirement if initial Govt offer is included.

    2) What do an individual's private circumstances have to do with any of it? Not relevant in any way. We're discussing the mechanics of compulsory acquisition by Govt, not Bob from number 40's current liquidity.

So what's the point of the exercise? To cry over history? What, exactly?

Sometimes it's more fun to watch them spout their culty dogma, than to keep trying to bring things back to the spherical earth.

So this thread is actually a history thread? Can we include the latest archaeological findings? They've just dug up a previously unknown city on the West Bank at Luxor .. did you know that? Buildings still intact, etc. I'll bet they were racists though, and kept Nubian slaves. Maybe even ran highways through slave villages. B@stards.

They can't seem to produce a purpose for their angst. They seem to want to just discuss ye olden dayes - so maybe they're history buffs?

This thread is indeed a history thread. What Pete is speaking of is a history lesson on our interstate systems. Glad you could finally join the discussion.

So just digging up the dirt looking for the next thing to get race-y about? Running out of new material, so trawling through the back catalogue?

Well good luck with that. The entire world was racist up until very recently. Most of it still is, but thankfully we have the least racist nations ever to exist to remind us of how good we have it - America, The UK, Australia, etc.

Do you even understand what Pete is saying because nothing you are saying has anything to do with what was said. I guess that is understandable seeing that you didn’t understand that we were discussing when our infrastructure was physically built until the 11th page. Read his words:

“There is racism physically built into some of our highways, and that’s why the jobs plan has specifically committed to reconnect some of the communities that were divided by these dollars,”

I understood perfectly, but thanks. Now explain what he's SEEKING, in mentioning it. He has to have a reason for discussing it. Is he planning to rip out the old highways and build new ones somewhere where no group can claim disadvantage? And where is that place, please? Through the middle of wildernesses - where no towns or cities exist? What about the wildlife? How do you think they'll feel - being all oppressed like that? And how will people access those highways which avoid all human settlements lest they oppress folk?

Having a case does no good if you cannot afford a lawyer to pursue it for you.

If an individual does not have the means to fight the government they have no choice but to take the offer even if it is low. Somewhere in this thread there is an article about how this happened a lot for Trump's fence.

Perhaps to correct some of the wrongs from the past while fixing the infrastructure in this country.

Or to ensure they do not happen again as we do so.

Fix what? Property values are lower, mostly, in areas that are less desirable. Being next to a highway lowers the value due to noise pollution and higher traffic and congestion. That’s NOT racist. That’s reality and basic Realtor 101.

In FL we build sound walls to help. NEW construction is happening all around highways because the more desirable land has already been developed. These homes aren’t for just BLACK people. They’re for whoever wants to live there.

What does this idiot expect to happen? Rich people building custom mansions right on I-95? Nope. They build them on the water or larger lots where it’s QUIET and PRIVATE!!!

His whole rant was another EVERYTHING IS RACSIT dog whistle. Why didn’t the BLM founder build a new house right on the Highway??? She’s such a racist. Pete is a ****ing moron!!! Does he live on a freeway entrance?

In your world you start a record from ZERO, then the first guy to hold a record of 4:12 is in some odd way BETTER then then the guy that breaks his record and runs it in 3:43 LMFAO :)

    Leftist fuzzy Arithmatrics, hilarious..

Really shitty analogy, but not unsurprising.

In the case of the two records of 4:12 and 3:43 they are unconnected from each other and one has no bearing on the other.

In the case of unemployment the starting point left by the first impacts the 2nd.

For your analogy to be accurate the guy that got the 3.43 started at the halfway point and only ran half the race for his time.

Oh come on :) If I buy a company that employed 100 people and I increased sales to a point I HAD to hire 25 more then logically WHO did better running the company..

Does that suit you better LMFAO :)

The guy that took it from zero employees to 100. All you did was ride their success and hard work of setting up the company.

    No...?

And you are correct, I cannot prove that claim. But you haven't falsified it.

You mean like in Tulsa, Oklahoma?

Which was burned down by white people?

No it requires the null be rejected. Which we did by citing sources that says there was racial decision making in the origins of the highway system. Simply saying you don't like a source isn't enough to reject the idea.

Hard to believe some can tie their own shows. Just WOW!!!!

And by those numbers, increased the business by 25%.
The 0 to 100 number is basically infinite %.

Real mathematics seems to be fuzzy math to some.

Describe the process which occurs during condemnation. You are hilariously naive if you think the .gov doesn't get the price they want or that getting a better price is a simple matter or even possible for most people.
