We all know that conservatives hate facts and fact checking in this day and age.

It's a perennial lie, as proven.

    Not at all.

But people do know that some peoples reliance on highly subjective and biased Progressive operations like PolitiFact signals the real desire for facts is non-existent in them.

a law can't take away guns. It would require a constitutional amendment.

agreed, the reality is any type of mass gun confiscation is just too big to be feasible.

Did you see the links in post # 45?
Did the people cited in said post lie about wanting to take the guns?
How is anyone who thinks the anti-gun left wants to take the guns is paranoid?

You avoided the questions I asked:
Did the people cited in said post lie about wanting to take the guns?
How is anyone who thinks the anti-gun left wants to take the guns is paranoid?

    Derailment: Complete

But getting back to the actual topic, I think PolitiFact sidestepped the obvious choice (Kavanaugh) for purely cynical reasons.

Thus, PolitiFact's own lie of omission may qualify as the Lie of the Year.

Nice try, but nothing in there is proof that the people who said they didn't want to take your guns, actually lied.

What do you think is the specific lie, quote, by whom about O'Kavanaugh??

Certainly not Dr. Blasey Ford's testimony... one of the other accusations perhaps?

I still stand by Nuclear Threat myself.. specific and proven false, very soon after Singapore..

Well, I think the entire appalling circus was an Olympic-sized lie - an exceptional disgrace - but the core fabrication was Ford's.

Certainly yes; she was destroyed in discreet chunks by that woman they brought in (from Arizona?), this after a performance that even Joan Crawford would regard as over-the-top insane.

The nuclear threat thing wasn't disseminated widely enough.

Short of an outright prohibition, we already have common sense gun laws. Indeed, most all of these shooting incidents involve somebody violating those existing common sense gun laws. That raises the question "if the gun laws are already being violated, how do you propose to 'fine tune' them to make them work?" I say it cannot be done.

Deception can be used to change the Constitution by building (manipulating) public sentiment so that the public would accept changing the Constitution for such a contrived goal.

Already by the deception of the global war on terror, congress and the executive have effectively nullified the 4th amendment and Habeas Corpus. It can be done.

Actually a law CAN take away guns. After this Parkland hoax, the Florida legislature passed some sort of gun law, apologies for not providing a link as I'm in a hurry at the moment, and state authorities did take away the guns of an individual near Jupiter. He was considered to be in the class of person defined by the new law.

I hope he takes it to court.

it can not. The second amendment precludes this.
    hoax?

I completely agree that any gun taking, and the new Florida law precipitated by Parkland are unconstitutional. But the reality is that they did just that to a man in Jupiter, at least according to one news story months ago. We live in a time of illegitimate governance.

In that there are so many inconsistencies and weird events and testimony, Parkland was a hoax in that it is highly unlikely that Cruz was the shooter.

please post a citation for the law, and the specific case you are speaking of.

Except that it only became legal after the state passed a new law IN RESPONSE TO the Parkland incident.

LOL, for such a principled 2nd Amendment fellow several posts back, you sure did a quick 180. Cute, but typical for an authoritarian rationalization.

Yes, it is much easier to fool a man than it is to explain to him how he has been fooled.

nope. Mentally disturbed people have been classified as prohibited persons for quite a while.
    huh?
is there a point you are trying to make?
