Why are you talking about the former President? Nobody brought up Trump. Did you get lost? I have no interest in Trump. Who the heck cares about Trump?

You defending the evil Dem politicians?

No matter how you spin it, Republicans did not (NOT) pack the court -- but that is EXACTLY what Biden is going to try to do!

Wait, so it is fine for Democrats to rule that court? But wrong for republican's to try to have balance?

I believe the court was packed for a matter of over half a century. We did not add judges to make up for that.

if republicans want to steal the courts, then dems can steal it back, then when repubs gain power they can steal it back again

this is what Republicans did by their actions, what comes around goes around

the rules allow it repubs said, well, the rules allow dems to do it too

Do it the same way Republicans finally did and nominate your judges.

Packing the court is still as wrong as when Democrats said it is wrong.

Not in this lifetime! As an Independent centrist I know I stand in the right place and I know my ideas and ideals are on target with where this great nation should be headed. Unfortunately, voters chose to put a socialist puppet in the White House that is destroying the United States. Much worse than Trump!

And one more grounds for appeal. This is the same juror that publically admitted his mind was made up before deliberations and in fact they didn't deliberate.

Derek Chauvin juror's 'BLM' T-shirt sparks concerns about trial verdicts: report
Brandon Mitchell wore a Black Lives Matter T-shirt at a DC march that said 'Get your knee off our neck'

"A photo that recently emerged online of a juror on the Derek Chauvin murder trial wearing a Black Lives Matter T-shirt has sparked questions about his impartiality, according to reports.

Juror Brandon Mitchell, 31, who is Black, could be seen in the photo wearing the T-shirt emblazoned with a picture of Martin Luther King Jr. and the phrases "Get your knee off our neck" and "BLM." He is also wearing a "Black Lives Matter" hat in the photo.

Mitchell was the first member of the jury that convicted Chauvin of murdering George Floyd to publicly comment about the trial.

So how about a poll of how many Democrats still believe it was a fair trial?

Give me a GD break... You all are the party of race baiting and you and your ilk is what is driving a racial wedge in this nation. It's down right despicable!

It's a simple fact that the Chauvin jury reached the wrong conclusion. The definitions of MN 2nd and 3rd Degree "murder" are clearly defined.

Based on comments from one juror, they didn't care about the law at all, and were more concerned with sparking a movement.

And even threats from political leaders that if there wasn't a murder conviction, there was going to be trouble.

“We’re looking for a guilty verdict,” Waters said. “We’re looking for a guilty verdict and we’re looking to see if all of the talk that took place and has been taking place after they saw what happened to George Floyd. If nothing does not happen, then we know that we’ve got to not only stay in the street, but we’ve got to fight for justice. But I am very hopeful. And I hope that we’re going to get a verdict that says guilty, guilty, guilty. And if we don’t, we cannot go away.”

“And not just manslaughter, right?” a reporter asked.

“Oh, no, not manslaughter. No, no, no,” Waters said. “This is guilty for murder. I don’t know whether it’s in the first degree, but as far as I’m concerned it’s first degree murder.”

Yup. They had this in the bag LONG before the trial started, the armchair quarterbacks here somehow understand things you'd have to actually do to fully appreciate.

    Race baiting.

    Noun.

What Republicans call any discussion on race. (Sometimes anything with the word "black" in it.)

Give it a rest. Get earplugs if it bothers you. Biden said he would listen, that's what he was elected to do, and that's what he's doing.

Integrity is nice for a change.

He has a temporary grip on it. The polls will decide whether he loses his grip before the election. The Democrats picking up seats will soundly remove him from gripping anything. So, 18 mos. tops.

He got a fair trial. It was open and shut. One of the most clear verdicts in recent memory.

Of course the appeal process will go for years. He does have ammo. Waters should be censured somehow, and the judge's decisions were puzzling to me from the beginning.

Appeals aren't granted by the volume of complaints, contrary to the author's opinion. I don't know why that juror answered no to those two questions, which were redundant. It seems as dumb as Waters. It doesn't mean he didn't put that aside and judge the evidence. That the jury was out for only 10 hours means there wasn't much disagreement. Unless Chauvin can show this juror's actions were deliberate, with motive, and that he falsely influenced the other 11 jurors, I don't think it's gonna fly.

The whole world saw what happened. Chauvin isn't going anywhere. And another trial would just be a repeat of the last. Nope, Chauvin is done.
