No it's about you think I owe you money for transgressions I did not impose. How much do you think is owed to you and for what? In what state did you grow up prior to 1965? How old are you now? How have you not received equal protection and due process under the law?

Because it makes perfect sense. Your example is irrelevant. Technically, if a bank robber is caught, he suffers not only prison but a hefty fine which includes giving back all the money he took.

 

I find it hilarious that American blacks want reparations and cry racism when African blacks are immigrating in the US in droves and count themselves lucky for having the opportunity to live here.

As a naturalized US citizen, when I just legally immigrated in the US I had an opportunity to meet a lot of other immigrants in my ESL classes. The interesting thing was - people who came from Africa, who really lived there, do not look at American blacks favorably. In fact, most despised black culture.

And I’m not paying a penny in reparations to anyone - when blacks were slaves my family lived in Europe, never enslaved anyone and never profited from slave trade. In fact, in 1860s, around the time blacks were freed, millions of Europeans were freed from serfdom, yet no one in Europe is crying about reparations. Maybe it’s time for blacks to forget about something that ended over 150 years ago and concentrate on real life - get education, get a job, create a family and stick with it, raise kids, save money for retirement via 401k and so on. If the whole black community stuck to such basic plan just 50-100 years ago there would be no black culture in the US and everyone would be truly equal without BS laws like affirmative action. That’s what immigrating Africans in the US are doing and I will bet you they will never complain about racism.

What would the reparations crowd do with Obama? He's a multi-millionaire whose black father's family were never involved in slavery, unless is was on the business end in Africa. His white mother's ancestors owned slaves. It's another losing issue for Dems.

Wouldn't it be fair for the democrat party to pay any reparations? After all, they are the party that has historically has been against blacks from the start, even up to the Clinton's going to Robert Byrd's funeral. Remember Bill Clinton saying Obama would be getting them coffee in the old days. They like to pretend the parties switched sides when they have never changed. They have only tricked blacks into thinking the left care about them. I can see Mexicans believing in democrats, they do want them here but only for their voting purposes but it does get them in.

Should women get reparations from the left? They didn't want them voting either so held them down too.
