Of course but that wouldn't let the Republicans justify cutting programs that actually benefit the less wealthy in this country. The Republican goal is to cut Social Security and Medicare benefits and if you actually increase the taxes on the rich to help fund those programs the rich will lose a bit of money and the poor and Middle Class will benefit. That is anathema to the Republican adgenda. After all in the Republican mythology the less wealthy are just lazy and deserve whatever happens to them while the rich have earned every penny themselves and taxes are just the way the jealous losers are trying to punish the virtuous winners.
Privatization results in better services and payouts plus benefits the low income progressively. Do some research on the three counties in Texas. Also read the Ryan Roadmap 2.0 which includes an economic analysis done by John Taylor. Your "Republican mythology" is ludicrous.
Some do not think it's better, and as I do, believe it's time to remove the middle man from healthcare as the ONLY route. Both private insurance and government run healthcare are profit vehicles as methods of payment. Remove them as mandatory, and let people make their decisions directly with their healthcare providers.
You can do that by private insurance with high deductibles and health savings accounts. You have low premiums, catastrophic insurance, and direct interaction between doctor and patient for routine medical issues. Any money left over at the end of the year accrues.
I know that. But with the coming of the PPACA, catastrophic plans were made verboten. Again, insurance as such should not be made mandatory in any of it's forms. Remove the middleman. Remove the government from healthcare (and a whole lot of other subjects, but that would be another thread) where they have no business being.
I continued to have that kind of policy after ObamaCare was passed. It was grandfathered. Agreed to remove government but I think that private insurance companies are beneficial for catastrophic events where they can negotiate rates and set up networks.
Because the poster merely posts lists of far right propaganda without proofs and with distorted logic. I am asking for good evidence from that poster, and he can't post it. Yes, I will point that out. If you did that, I would point that out.
Yes, healthcare insurance is different from other insurance - because the govt saw the insurance route as the easiest way to take over health care and through regulations converted health care insurance into a health cost management system. All your listed problems are due to govt interference in both health "insurance" and in health care. Get the govt out of it all.
I know exactly what it is and why their "data" is bogus. Why - because I demonstrate curiosity and initiative to do my homework.
You quote a science fiction writer as a source of truth ?? Too funny. Do your homework and cure your ignorance.
That won't work as long as hospitals and other providers provide service that the people that use the healthcare don't have to pay for.
